well I was reading the boards and had a very good question that I hope somone might be able to answer!

Well i always hear that you want 2 war/nin and 2 rngs as you dmg dealers in promys so i was wondering i have 4 friends who play this and we were wondering what we would need to make this work with are current jobs ready for promy

30-bst/nin? or go whm?
30-bst/nin? or go whm?
30-Rng/nin
30-PLD-War

also the PLD could be a 30 whm and we could use that spot for anotehr option but what promys could are jobs do? and would it work and would it work well? jug pets plus bst/nin should be some really good dmg. any replies on this would be awsome :)

First off - you don't need rangers for Promys; in fact, summoners and/or black mages make better DDs, as they aren't stuck at relatively close range (which hurts ranger damage now).

Second - you'll want to farm up the animas to make things easier. Each person will need either 4k or 6k (depends on whether or not you plan on using Terroanimas; with a BST-heavy setup, I'd think not).

Third - My recommendation for the jug pet to use here: Grasshopper Broth, which gives you an Antlion. People have commented (cf. the Tracer Antlion) that Antlions make great pets and have a nasty poison skill, along with a skill similar to beetles' Power Attack in damage. Since jug beetles aren't available until 38, this makes Grasshopper Broth your friend (heh) for Promys. Since you have capped Cooking, you *may* have issues with producing Noisy Grasshopper Broth instead (the HQ, which isn't going to help here, but it'd be nice to have anyway for later things), as Grasshopper Broth caps at 51. (Maybe you know someone who's in the mid-40s on Cooking and doesn't want to make Orange Au Lait or pie. I dunno.)

Fourth - PT makeup should probably be 3x bst/war, 1x nin/war, 1x whm/whatever, 1x blm/whm for best results (assuming all three BSTs have liberal amounts of Grasshopper Broth for use here). If the antlion pets end up stealing hate from the ninja, you can swap him out for another BST on successive runs. :->

Grasshopper broth does NOT give you the antilon. It gives you a fly trap. I used it in Holla just to mess around, but found the Tiger a better pet for Proms. Make sure all your BST use some good food, don't scrimp on attack gear either, since you won't be charming anything.

Ah, sorry. Don't know why I thought otherwise there (should have figured it out from what the name on the pet from Noisy Grasshopper Broth is... *cough* Little Shop of Horrors, anyone?). And yeah, the flytrap skills are pretty useless. :->

The broth for Antlion pets is lv38, too, so no such luck on using it in Promys (pity)... might be worth using in place of Tree Sap, but otherwise meh. :-/

Hare famaliar is still uncapped at that level, they are always strong (if they arent tanking)

I would think it would be a joke if you could get paralyse to stick on 3 different times during the fight from 3 seperate tigers..
I only did one go at BST on the promy's, my tiger didn't do roar though.
