Anyway, as I've said..as many other people said...

When they change EQUIPMENT things don't always work instantly, if you ever tried programming, you will know for a fact things aren't always 100% correct when you code something :)

Either way, so far i've havent been booted, no constant POL errors since everything came back up, so far so good, log in/out is usually the first compotent of a server to never be 100% stable after a majore update to its hardware.

Or if you're not tired: catch up on a movie you bought, but havent watched. Play a game you havent picked up since you discovered FFXI-crack. lol. Clean the house. Scare the Neighbors. Have a drunken Party. @.@ All sorts of stuff you can do while waiting for SE to slowly plod along at the speed of a snail.

since i've been up since 3:30 AM i'm going to probably crash early tonight.

Maybe my experience isn't the norm, but having just started playing two weeks ago - I'm not sure how SE can justify charging me a fee for this month of service.

I think that the game has been down literally at least 70% of the time that I have gone to play it. Don't misinterpret what I'm saying, I don't need an IV into this game, but it would be nice to be able to play once in a while.

I know just how necessary server maintenence is, but perhaps they should pay the technicians a higher premium and do some of the work while those of us in the states are sleeping.

To those posts I've read that jump all over someone for complaining about the maintenence: perhaps it is you who are truly addicted, and those who get to play occasionally, not all the time, are a little more upset when they cannot do so.

SHUT THE F*CK UP :) Really. I am a calm guy. Im having fun doing other things atm, and reading these forums, but that doesnt change the fact that I am paying for service that is not being delivered. Maybe you want to bend over, or maybe your mommy and daddy pay for it, but I worked for the money I pay SE and I'm PISSED that I can never seem to play when I have free time lately. I agree with u Theonehio Programming is never easy.And Computer Harware is hard to install as well.Programming a game with this much info takes time for servers plus the new equipment might have crashed under the stress and crash its part of the computer world.Server and server equipment if its going under alot of stress it will crash.

This is what testing and debugging is for. In business you do not release versions of anything that has not been tested (at least not without attaching a beta tag to it). Hate to say that if it is a line of code that kept failing over and over again in most places there would be a whole lot of programmers getting canned for not testing their application.



I will agree that programming can take time (I know from experience). However saying the hardware may have crashed under the stress tells me SE did not evaluate the hardware well enough then. You can find benchmarks and information on hardware quite easily and if SE bought hardware that could not handle the load and still have capicity to spare they are plain stupid for not figuring on getting more traffic.
