West Ronfaure 1-8, working my way towards Ghelsba Outpost. King Ranperre's Tomb from 8-10 (11 with the new exp rings). This has just been the best method I have found, was never a fan of Ghelsba Outpost and I love San d'Oria.

Levels 1-10 i prefer to start in East sarutabaruta right next to the cliff on tiny mandragora, lv 1-3. From levels 3-4, maybe 5 you can get slowly working your way towards the first magic tower.
Inside the magic tower you can go from i believe 4-10 farily easily.

Start off with the battue bats , then work your way up to blade bats and the varied strength goblins, @ lv 7-8ish you can continuously run laps around the structure and kill everything. ( except the bombs).

personally, i prefer sartabaruta

crawlers drop thread, bees drop chips, which are both pretty profitable.

Ronfare and gustaburg are nice because of the worms, and you can sometimes just run away if you aren't doing so well.

South Gustaberg, start with the ridiculously easy worms for up to chain 4 heh. Then, first ring of vomp hill, go up to the next tier at about lvl 6 i guess. After that, quadavs and worms, the odd lizard in N gustaberg. At about 9 or 10 into konschtat highlands for bees worms and saplings trying to get a duo or trio going.

Depends on what I want for crystals. I'll do Ronfaure and Ghelsba for Fire. Sarutabaruta and Giddeus for Wind. Gustaberg and Palborough for Water.

Or Items:
Vomp or Zegham Hill in Gustaberg for bee chips.
King Ranpere's Tomb for bat wings.
Sarutabaruta for silk.

My favourite is a toss-up between Gustaberg and Sarutabaruta.

Which I would choose depends on my mood, confidence with the job and how much of a challenge I feel like.

Gustaberg has an abundance of worms which are pretty easy kills, especially for ranged attack jobs and has generally easier beastment (I find Quadavs to be the easier ones to handle).

Then there is Sarutabaruta, this one has mobs with more profitable drops, so you can farm as you level however I find Yagudo's to be the toughest beastmen race.

My usual early levels soloing routine:
1-7 running around Ronfaure
7-10 Ranguemont Pass
10-13 Ghelsba Outpost
13-18(or whenever I get bored of soloing) Fort Ghelsba

E sarta by far.

beehive chips from bees ^_^ 8-10k a stack Odin

Silks from crawlers ^_^ 28-35k a stack Odin

Misty silk cape >_< (i would rather be able to get Bounding Boots or Rabbit Charm but hey its cant be all that good)

the other guy is right i never went to the 1st tower b4 level 6 but at 6 you can pull 1 gob at a time until 8

then at 8 just run around killin gobs till 10-12

Zeruhn Mines 1-5

You can get wind crystals out the wazoo here, and bat wings. Also Zeruhn soot which sells pretty good on Bastok's AH.

South Gustaburg 5-7

Kill the vultures for fire crystals and maneating hornets around the zone near the water for beehive chips and wind crystals.

North Gustaburg 7-10

Move on to Vomp hill and kill the maneating hornets for wind crystals and beehive chips. There's also lots of goblin thugs and weavers for fire crystals, wild onions, cotton, and goblin armour. This hill is a nice money maker. ^.^

Money wise, Sarutabaruta kicks a lot of ***.
Exp wise, I'd say it is very easy to get through South Gustaberg.
Nooby wise, East Ronufare is easy since Orcs lose the ability to track people through water.

I find Gustaberg to be the easiest. Weak mobs (bats, bees, worms) and mobs are clearly divided on the map by level ranges. You can do 1-10, all while getting good exp amounts, without ever leaving Gustaberg.

West Ronfaure. I love the music there and the Celtic feel. It always calls to me. Feel like I'm in Scotland or some similar place when I level there. Beside, worms are easy, bats at night are easy, and when you get high enough lots of gobs to go pick on. Also the occasional Orcish Mesmerizer.

Ever since the XP changes to Easy Prey, I go all the way to 7 on the Bees in Gustaberg or Sarutabaruta. Just the basic bees you can fight straight from level 1. I prefer this because:

1. Its very fast xp. These things spawn very quickly, and you practically never have to rest.

2. By staying here all the way until they are TWTBW, you get more total kills. This nets you more crystals (Wind in this case^^), and also more Beastmen Seals.

After 7, I would then fight Saplings and Vultures for Grain Seeds, Fire Crystals and Bird Feathers (Gustaberg), or Crawlers and Birds for Silk Thread, Fire Crystals and Bird Feathers.

Basically, I'll fight anything that has a good drops, and I prefer to fight all Easy Prey for increased number of kills/drops/survivability.

Ronfaure can be really nice too, fighting Funguars and Orcs for Fire Crystals, Dark Crystals and Mushrooms.

Depends on my motivation, really. Sometimes I'm looking to make a little gil while I level, so I'll go to Sarutabaruta. Drops there are great. But if I want to level quickly, I'll go to North Gustaberg through Port Bastok, because no one ever goes there and I have my run of the mobs.

I rarely go to Ronfaure, because it's generally over-crowded.

I generally start out (at least 1-7, though it's possible to do 1-8 here) on just the bees and (at night) bats in South Gustaberg. They're easy to kill, and particularly with an aketon, I can get nice, stackable drops. You can talk about silk, but crawlers aren't exactly the safest target for a low-level. Poison can easily kill you with such low HP.

After that, I like Horutoto. Goblins and bats all drop good crystals, as well as bat wings, onions, and various clothcraft stuff. You can toss the low-level gear they drop, desynth it, or whatever.

I usually wear my aketon (for more crystals), Waders, starting ring, and fisherman's legs/hands. Once I get to level 7, I go with either the Justice Badge or Wing Pendant, depending on job.

The important thing to remember is that, for most jobs, it's usually faster to mow down a bunch of EPs than to try to take on DCs, EMs, etc. and have to frequently rest. That also means you get more drops, because you have a higher amount of kills. Additionally, don't forget the food! Even something dirt cheap can help a lot. Just remember that percentage-based food (like sushi) is usually worse at lower levels than food which gives you an absolute stat bonus.

Although each area has its benefits depending on what you want to craft/farm I found saru to be the easiest and fastest way to xp and gain enough money to have the best gear for my jobs. Like so many have posted chips/silks are very profitable. And so are the many stacks of wind/fire crystals you get from bats/gobs in the horo towers. As soon as I leave from windy woods I start heading in a round about fashion towards the middle horo tower near one of Spini's spawn points. By the time you get there you should be level 4-5. In the tower take on bats and d/c gobs until 6. At 6 you can pretty much start thrashing anything and everything in the main chamber which will accumulate xp fast up to 7-8. At this point head through the cracked walls and wreak havok on the gobs, and bats that are usually in abundance in one of the chambers just beyond. Just be careful in exploring too thoroughly as there are skeletons, and bombs that will agro depending on your status and there's beetles and bats a little deeper that are ITs for lvl 10s.

Being from Bastok I now level all my new jobs in either TarOO Town or Ronfoare. The reasons were twofold mainly. Firstly I just got sick of levelling in Gustaberg... and secondly I get more conquest points levelling in out of town areas. I think it's about 13,300 EXP points you get from levels 1 to 10 (assuming you dont keep dying of course, then you need more).

If you level from 1 to 10 in an area under your nations control your CPs account for 10% of your EXP. But it goes up to 15% if it's in another region. That's around 667 CP more for levels 1 to 10!

Personally, my favourite place is Ronfaure. I don't like Gustaberg, it's very dull. Sarutabaruta is pretty good for money, but I rarely have a need to be in Windurst. The Fire Crystals from Ronfaure are pretty good for a bit of extra gil, and I LOVE the scenery. I always feel at home in forests...

Someone also mentioned it feeling like Scotland... I am so getting my parents to move up to the highlands then ^.- Where I live, there aren't very many nice forests... Unless you have a boat, and feel like going up the Loch ^.^

I like East Ronfaure because it is nice to look at. otheriwse I will do North Gustaburg for level 1-7 on just the bees you find just outised of town, and sometimes bats if it is nighttime. I chose those two zones because less people frequent those zones. I like the feeling of being alone when I solo.

for levels 7-13 I like bats/gobs in KRT. I sometimes end up with some compitition in this zone, but if you get a good timming pattern dow, you will get neough kills to still make this zone worth your time.

Usually do my 1-10 training in my home turf of the Gustaburg region. But I have been known to go to Sarutabaruta as well ^^

Level 1-3: Worms, Bees, and Ding Bats just outside Bastok's gates.

Too bad the bats only come out at night, cuz they be plump exp all the way to level 3.

Level 3-5: Ding and Mouse bats in Zerughn mines.

I actually stay down here until I got a full stack of Zerughn soot. Which by then I'm level 6 =)

Level 6-10: Everything and anything EP-DC that crosses my path until I get to Konchstat. Worms, Bats, Goblins, Quadav, and Black Wolf's. I usually try to stay away from status effect causing mobs like saplings, lizzies, and mage-type beastman. But if I have meds, I'll take on anything.

Around level 7-8, EM mobs already begin to go down rough, and are not worth the down time in most situations, and most jobs. I have always found it best to take on a crap load of EP's and build TP before engaging DC+ mobs. There are jobs though that rip through DC-EM's pretty much till level 11 or so.
