Graphics help plz?Follow

Here's my rig:
AMD 64 3700+
2GB DDR
Nvidia GeForce 6800 OC
running winblows XP pro sp2

Here's my issue:
I have messed around with all the graphical settings for FFXI, yet whatever I do, the game looks like crap. I am running it at 1600x1200 on a Dell 2001FP LCD, all settings at the highest. I used to play on a much lesser system a year or so ago, and it never looked this bad... does anyone have any ideas? Specifically, the edges on everything look very pixellated, and the textures look very grainy, plus the text is almost impossible to read b/c of how pixellated everything looks.

[EDIT]: When I get home I'll snap a screenshot... it shouldn't look this bad.

I'll give that a shot, looks promising. However, would that cause the character models to look pixellated too? The edges of my character look like a saw blade, all jagged.
