Allakhazam does not support gil buying. They get their ads from other companies that use key words in the website to send them ads that supposedly relate to the wesbite.

Edit: There is something you can do about it if it bothers you. I got this from the Alla known issues stickie in the feedback forum:

What's with the ads for gold/plat/credit/gil-selling sites? Did you sell out?!

In short, nope! Google ads were recently added to the site. These ads work by searching keywords on the site, and displaying "appropriate" ads. Unfortunately, many currency-selling sites get pulled up in this. We do, however, have a way to block this. Whenever you see an ad that offers things breaking the Terms of Service of any of the games, please post it in a thread here.

My guess is that AK could care less about whats in the adds, as long as they don't lead to people quiting/prosecution.

I pay for the no-adds premium account(for some dumb reason), so I don't have to deal with them.

but really "The selling of accounts in the Allakhazam forum is forbidden"... sounds familiar? it's the first post in the forum. So it's not OK for a forum-user to make money, but it is ok for AK to make money by advertising for people who do this.

If google ads contain links to pages that go against their home website, then AK should not use google ads.

If I was running a political blog, with google ads, I would re-think it if they advertised for the opposing party.

However, AK (and in turn, google) counts on us caring about teh free forums/database more then the ads, so nothing gets done.

w/e, doesn't matter to me~ try not to suck up to AK though plz ^_~
