I believe you can re-buy it and register again, but you won't get your character back, you'll have to start over. Yes, you will get to play if you buy new CDs but you won't have the content IDs you had before.

And out of curiosity, what exactly did he do to get you banned, lol ^^;;;

Hmmm, a word for the wise:

Learn from mistakes, make sure your brother does not gain access to your Content ID/characters again.

just a note: if they IP ban players or even worse, ban by MAC address then theres little you can do. I actually have no idea if they can see the MAC address but it's a possibility =/.

though if they do IP ban you just have to find a way to get a new IP - dialup gets a new one everytime they start their modem but DSL and Cable have to somehow convice their ISP to reset the IP address or in some cases the IP changes after several months on it's own.

As for MAC address the only way to get around that (and I REALLY don't think they do that but still) is to play from a diffrent machine whether it be a new PC or a diffrent PS2...or now a XBOX360 I suppose.

Edit: I'm no techy - when it comes to this stuff I just repeat what I've learned from the forums - apparently these problems are EASY to get around and the solutions are in the posts underneath me. Something about a "NIC" O.o

If he used a router, he can just clone the mac address to some other random MAC address... I beleive you can do that with a PC? Or you could just buy a new NIC (5 bucks) and use that, it'll have a different MAC. Easier to get around than the IP (dont have to call cable company)

SE doesnt Ban people using IP's or Mac address's simply because its to easy to get around it

They do however ban Credit Card Numbers, User/Pol ID's and if your banned too many times they keep your personal information (address, name, email things that you enter when making the account and setting up billing) and if you try to make a new account it gets rejected

As for Mac Address, if any every Bans a mac address on PC or PS2 (i know Socom did this on PS2) you do not need to buy a whole new system just a new NIC (Network Interface Card, pc) or Network Adpter(ps2)

and for the OP, if you dont want your "Brother" to get you banned again, do not set POL to log in Auto, and put a Member Password on it, will mean he would have to crack your POL password and the Member Password before he could even get to POL

Changing your MAC address is easy. Just put in a new NIC, they're cheap.
