Well... with the recent trend of threads about nations taking over other nation's newbie zones. The people of Shiva felt that they didn't have enough bloodshed in their lives. So the 3 nations of Shiva have hereby declared all out war on each other.
Week 1
Bastok got pissed at being last all the time
Week 2
I don't think Sandy liked Bastok much...
Too bad they felt like dragging Windy into this
Week 3
You didn't think Windy was going to stand by that are you?
Bastok didn't feel like getting left out again...
Week 4
Windy wasn't about to be the only nation without OP teleports to all 3 nations.
And that's the news!
I believe that Shiva is now the first Server where all 3 nations have OP teleports to all 3 newbie zones.

Perfect ending for this would be one nation gaining control of ALL three starter regions.

pretty much the same thing happened on Gilgamesh in the last few weeks. Except Bastok never lost Gustaberg.

I do recall this sort of thing happening a lot later year at about this time... in October... coincidence?

Rather than war ... instead the nations should support this behavior. Every nation on every server should let the other two take over their newbie zone from time to time. That way everybody can get outpost teleports instead of waiting for the dirty airship or chocoboing. Its fabulous.

Windurst gets Ronfaure

I think that Bastok and Windurst will settle their differences and use their four races combined to run San d'Oria and the pointy-eared Elvaan completley off the map. Then, the Bastokers will realize the Mithra and Tarutaru are pointy-eared freaks too, so they will try and rage war again Windurst too. But then the War Warlocks go and nuke the Metalworks with Firaga V to cover all of bastok with molten lava. Then the Bastokers will go underground and begin working for the Shadow Lord and all get wicked awesome dark powers.

I always thought getting the outpost warps WAS the point of the newbie zones being controlled by other nations. In other words, it was coordinated. Not a war.
It is... but how many people do you think will say yes if you say
"Hi, can I take over of your newbie zone? Which can be seen as a direct insult to your nation since you can't even hold the zone next to your city"

Sorry, but it even got better this week on Shiva, Bastok owns none of the regions anywhere in the world, not even Gustaberg...so sad that they had to form an alliance with Windy.
