Man I hope my connection will play nice today.
Reading all these posts has me so excited to get my NPC and start leveling her.
Being 62, I'll head out into yhoator and start raping some mobs for quick exp.

Day 1: Took her in the jungles of hell and we're currently fighting smithys and mandies, its been about 40 mins so far and i think as someone mentioned before, they might have a hidden stamina effect. I've been allowing my NPC to heal about every 10-15 mins and she's still kicking ***** I'll update once I gather more info.

P.S. It's hella fun to SC with her XD

Edit: She lasted 45 mins.
Edit2: She got new body armor, the lvl 29 war armor. Didn't gain any new abilities or a level.

Zigmaa, if you accidently click on your npc and she says "you want me to leave?" (or somthing like that), all you have to do is click on him/her again and she will say somthing to the effect of ok, i'll stay. But you have to do it within 10 seconds from what I read someone else say^^

I'm having the same weird problem someone else had. NPC out for around 30-35 minutes, killing everything in sight, specifically going after the higher level orcs in Batallia. Had my wooden katana out so I wouldn't overkill, was having fun trying to sc and stuff. Anyway, after my mithra left, when I checked her at the rendezvous point, she was wearing the starting mithra rse -_-. So I put some stuff up for auction and go to bed. Come back today, still in the rse. I wonder why it's doing this?

Day 1: Took Raka and my level 7 RDM in South Gusta and we were chaining toughs without having to rest.

Time she stayed: 12 minutes
Did she level: no
New Gear: no

Learned: You cannot call NPC in Promyvion or Dangruf Wadi

Day 2: Going to take her to Yhoator Jungle with my 75 PLD, I will update after im done.

Did that on my brd level 5/2whm.. sadly brd songs do not work on it ; ;

Thank you for this info,I wanted to look here before I went out and tried out my new npc. I do however have a question that I have'nt seen a answer to.And please don't flame me for asking,it's a honest question. Where is the rendevous point? Another question is can you use your npc in a enm or bcnm? Please let me know,thank you.

i regret to inform you that no.. you may not take the NPC inside a BCNM or any type of boss-related event.

the rondevous points are in North sandoria and ru'lude gardens that ive found.. both are near the moghouse entrance.. itll be a selectible area sorta like the ???'s you see once in awhile

The first day, my buddy and I fought a gob that someone must have called for help on because he was DC, but I still got no xp from it. After that my buddy took off saying it had been a long day, so I doubt its "after x number of xp points" although who really knows?

Has anyone else had issues with their NPC's voke not being very strong? As a 19 RDM I was always pulling hate. One fight I pulled with blind, and as the moster came close I hit it with my level 11 sword. My Galka voked, but the bird didn't even flinch.

I think there might be some sort of hidden stamina or something, because everyones NPC leaves at different times.. on my Day #2 i rested more inbetween battles and he appeared to stay much longer than the first time.

only time can tell and time sucks lol.

Just to help give some more data.

Me: lv 31 blm with wand as weapon

NPC: Mithra in scale (I think they all start in that)

Test area: East Sarut.

I was just gonna try the NPC before I was gonna log. Calling on her in East Sarut. to test it. Killing TW.

I ran up and engage a mob, when I hit it my NPC would engage. After hitting it once i would unlock view and turn around, the NPC killed the mob in a single hit, dealing 94 dmg. She nearly always voked, but sometimes the voke did not work, I had hid the mob with a wand for 20 and voke did not change hate.

After 10 mins she said she was exhausted and left.

Checking at RP she now was wearing doublet, I think it was the whole set minus legs, they were still scale. No new option.

We were killing TW in starting area, so I din't think she gained exp.

BTW, every time she voked she said "Hey! Don't ignore me."


I hope you can use this information.

Lizard gear is the lv.17 set. In case you didn't know, there happens to be a lv.27 set of armor (Brass Scale) that looks exactly like scale mail....

My mithra specifically said "We reached the quota." Then she went away. I think that clarifies some things. Its a quota. Most likely a mob quota, or an exp quota. Doesn't seem effected by you personally getting exp or not. Dunno. Good luck everyone. Rate ups all around for helpfull info.

I was told that it is the ammount of fights, or EXP that determines how long they stay. Not sure though...

Day 1

We just ran around South Gustaberg killing whatever was around. After just 10 minutes, she got tired and left. I was 63 THF so I did not rest the whole time she was out. I checked in with her at the Rendezvous Point afterwards, and it didn't look like she had any new armor, and she was still level 30. I think the mobs we were fighting were too weak, and she left 'cause she was bored, lol.


Day 2

I tried summoning her in Misareaux Coast, and I was told I couldn't perform that action in that area.... Not sure why that is, CoP area maybe? Not sure why that would matter.

Anyways, so then I just went into Qufim and called her, again with 63 THF. This time she stayed out more liike 12-14 minutes, lol. I did not rest any this time either, so I'm starting to wonder if that hidden stamina thing is true. Tomorrow I'll make sure she rests some before the 10 minute mark.

BUT when I checked her afterwards at the RP, she was now wearing different pants and boots!! Still level 30.

I must say this NPC thing rocks. Also am I the only one who gets sad when their NPC leaves. Mine leaves and im like ;_; she left me. I feel so alone..

lol

For me day one was a test went to camp Emp and let her attack some leeches. No change in armor

Day 2: went out xpin on 11 bst after first battle it was weird her armor changed from scale to cotton doublet. After she left I went to check out her armor. Notice change Lizard jerkin scale boots pants ??? gaulents chain mail

Day 3: today I took her out and lvled some more. She still didnt lvl and I cant changer her jobs yet but she is in almost full chainmail now. She still has lizard boots but hte rest is chain mail. <3 my little NPC shes a great tank. I cant wait till tomarrow when I can play with her again

I want to get my npc really bad. Would I be able to do it as BST36/WHM18 if I brought potions and 2 houred a juggie at the start of both fights?
