My hovercraft is full of eels
THF can tank pretty well actually, especially in the later levels... high EVA + (assuming /NIN) shadows = good stuff... however you have to be a TP machine to hold hate... which is the hard part...
Other than that you nailed PD on the head. Its pretty much solo only, actually I think its pretty much the only 2hr that I can think of that doesn't help the party much... (There are exceptions) ex: Party has a link and you are subbing /war or can get hate... get hate, PD up and flee the mob away... if the PT has the 1st mob almost dead you can flee back to the PT and when the link mob comes back you should be ready for it.

Thf 2 hour Perfect dodge is also used for coffer hunting. Since thf can pop open coffers without keys they sometimes encounter Mimics.
When you get a mimic, hit perfect dodge, then use a warp scroll to get the hell outa there!
