I am not sure how much time or effort this would be, but add in a few more cornetts for rank4 fame and do the teleport-mea quest. that is if your feeling masocistic (sp?). I imagine it would take longer then an hour to walk on over to the necropolis and finish the quest.. deathwarp back to windy and boom! a 60k-70k scroll you can sell.

the only downside is travel time and you need to be good at avoiding aggro, or spend a little cashin in sneak oils and/or prisim powders.

shame bastok is always last on my server. I had to use the sardine repeatable quest for fame for those two quests.

Ok maybe a stupid question, but what's the reason behind creating a new char, is it just to shorten the running around time?

Personally, I'd rather accomplish all these quests on my main, simply because I have next to no Windy Fame, and I'd really like to do the Tele Mea quest, to make back the money I spent on the scroll awhile back.

As I have my airship pass, it shouldn't take that much longer to go from Bastok to Windy after buying the Cornettes. Can I do it this way, or do I HAVE to use a diff. character?

Edit: ok after re-reading, I suppose the new character is so you can delete and repeat the quests Doh!

Still I can do it on my main, THEN do it with my windy mule. Might have to make a 2nd one, or else ship all the stuff on my windy mule to another one for the time being.

I may try it some time soon, for now on Sylph my Bastok is the last in conquest tally *sob sob*

Just checked this. Wow guys thx for all the great responses.

Takes about an hour and a half with a brand new character.

Bastok has to be higher than third or cornettes dont sell at npc in Bastok Markets

Certainly, only problem is being lvl 1 or 2 could prove to be very challenging in Necropolis :-) but nice thought anyway

Again thx guys for positive posts.

Awesome input. I am definitely gonna give it a whirl when I am reunited with my comp. This one is wayyy to ******** play.

Hopefully, this method takes too much patience to be abused. I'll be watching the history of aspir scrolls (and blaze spikes) over the next few weeks...

Again, thanks!

I have noticed on my server that when Bastok is up there are more aspir scrolls on AH. If you can, just wait until they all sell to sell yours. Most people I have noticed dont do it very many times.

Hey that's great advice, selling Aspir was my first big gil as a new player, I never thought about making an Aspir mule. Now that I need to buy Aspir back, maybe this will lower the price ;p

sounds great, I was in windy so I did it with my main and now I was planning on creating mules and doing it for profit like you said. My only question is this, with each mule do you have to purchase a world pass? its been a while since I created my last mule, so I don't remember how much one costs, but does that cut into the profits a lot?
#37 Oct 07 2004 at 9:47 AM Rating: Good
Yeah I thought about doing this then I realized that if everyone did it the price of Aspir would drop like crazy or the price of test answers would rise madly. Anyways I prefer farming ^_^ Good thing I sold my Aspir for 40k though. If I ever need it I can get it for cheap in the future hehehe..But nice that you're sharing it with everyone.

Well, my luck says Bastok is in 3rd, so I have to wait until tomorrow to start, if Bastok moves up. -_-

I'm going to farm some test answers and jack up the price now.

Test answers are rare, so you would have to return to town each time you got a drop to farm these. They don't sell for enough to make it worth that, unless you're also farming something else there.

Nice to see this pop up. yay for me!

Although you are correct, I think he was kidding about the Test Answers.

Nice to see people reading this still though.

Your inventory can only hold one at a time.

That doesn't mean other means of item storage have the same restriction. ^^

No Problem, I have done it about 8 times for around 40k profit each time. It works for me pretty well. Got a second account this weekend, so I expect to take even less time to do it now.

I went through this tonight, a few things occurred to me:

1) Why do you wait until after handing the rest of the cornettes in to get the test answers? You run right past the AH on the way from the prior quest location to the next one, and you should have enough gil by then.. Am I missing something? Seems like a bit of a double back.

2) In the same vein, if you use the AH<->Orastery warp, any reason you couldn't do the animal glue quest first before the SOB quest? You're _right_ there and all. :)

Otherwise huh, not bad. Took me about 2.5 hours, but I'm not terribly familiar with Windy and I was taking my time about it. Managed to get the 2-leaf before hitting lvl 2, though. Yay!

1. I just always have, to make sure I have enough money.
2. It doesn;t really matter which you do first I suppose.

Tekkub I would wait as well.

I've been doing this for a while, myself. Usually, the fastest way to do it for me, is to, even if I don't feel like going through all the tedious quests at the time, buy all the cornettes on my main and log out at AH, create the mule and get the bud, then log out at MH so that the next time I play, I can start sending cornettes. Also the windy warps help reduce the time required for the whole process. Depending on how generous Mandragoras are feeling, and how many of the quest items are available at AH, I can do this whole process in 45 minutes - 75 minutes. Which basically equates 40-50k per hour. =)

Very nice post, btw. =)
