I would IMMEDIATELY boot an 8-year-old from my linkshell regardless of how mature he or she was acting, and then call a GM. Children are NOT allowed to play FFXI even WITH parental permission. Only teens and up. This is not so much to protect the kid as to prevent other players from feeling like they have to walk on eggshells around everyone so as to not offend their mommy. Cursing is allowed to an extent in-game, as are mild sexual/violent chats/emotes, as long as all parties involved are ok with it. This is NOT A KID'S GAME!

As for not being cured, yeah, those WHMs weren't being very white-magey. Shame on them. However, there's no rule that says they have to cure you. What I don't get is why someone who is having trouble with farming and who can't set up a night bazaar would spend all that money on poison potions and die in town in order to protest. O_o;; I don't really think anyone knew or cared why you did that... it was a waste of gil that could have better gone toward a healing potion or better armor so that you could laugh in those mages' faces when you didn't NEED a cure from them at all. ^_^

I didnt buy the potion one of my freinds did. I got 3k for doing that protest it was worth it. The ppl who asked me to protest with them game me the gil.

Ehhh.... Smiley: oyvey I'm a little lost on this thread now - have been following it with some interest throughout the day though...

For every mage that wont cure you/doesn't have time/is afk and eating bits and bites, there are probably another 4 who will - it's just being in the right place at the right time (though in places like the dunes I *whm myself but kind of low level* must admit it was hard finding a whm raise as they were a bit bothered by the fact they had to do it every few seconds...) - but curing shouldn't be a problem... Most whms will *at least for the sake of levelling their healing magic skill* happily throw a cure on those injured by the roadside(on the Phoenix server around SanD'Oria at least) ....

So pick yourself up, dust yourself off and chew some gum to get the taste of poison out of your mouth Smiley: grin - another day, better mages.

:) mehhh....

just out of interest : how low does the rating have to go until you can't rate other people anymore?

Ok? Is there anyone who will post on the topic at hand?

Sly, I posted a nice, polite response for you, did you read it? The first one is polite for free, but if I have to post again I might be as mean and sarcastic as the others here.

Oh and BTW, Basqt was at least a funny thread of ongoing oddity :)

First of all These type of comments Aren't helping.

2nd I hope that he does kill himself becasue what ur doing is called promoting suicide and that is actually a crime(my freind has a book of criminal law seeing how hes becoming a police officer and I saw that one in there) And You would be charged if he killed himself.

LOL... sorry, but your message is lost in the sea of retardation. You hope that guy dies so you can prove to this other guy that what he said was wrong. How bad, how naughty of him. I guess your moral fiber doesn't run too deep... you'd rather see a guy get punished for suggesting someone kill themself than actually have the other guy live?

Oh, and by saying "I hope that he does kill himself," aren't you commiting the same act? Think for one minute here... it really is kinda funny.

Fine Im going to restate my Point.

Its Illegal to promote suicide and having people come here and do that isn't very helpful to anybody.
