i have lost the sense of adventure
last night my friend asked me to help him w/ the Selene bow nm, i hesitated and never gave him the answer
Absolute Virtue popped and I wasn't even there to see it or to die by it
All i was thinking was, let's get limbus over with so I can go back seeking on brd
Seems my goal of getting brd to 75 has deterred me from seeing what the whm taru in this story saw in her many whole-hearted adventure

Wow...I stopped playing this game for WoW (followed my friends...and got sick of elitests telling me that I couldn't play as a RDM/NIN) only to come back and find this thread still at the front page...

What Magaralene said. There is nothing wrong with keeping this post alive vs the usual "nerf" threads.
Why no sticky? This thread made me enjoy FFXI much more after reading it long ago. Daresay, its grounded a bunch of people and hopefully brought more excitement or adventuring sense to the FFXI community as a whole. I can't remember reading a reply that wished they never read this thread,... other than the 'necroposter-haters.' This story and the 'Recollection' Music Video really refreshed me after some disappointing and slow times during FFXI. If one more new person read this thread, I can only assume it was for the better.
After watching that funny Taru video on the front page, I remembered this. Bump.

I hate to say it, but this story has been posted numerous times. Granted it is a wonderful story and well written but in the end, it is the same story most of us have read or seen teh movie 100s of times.

I been bumpin this for a while now, for those who want to criticize or so. Long as 1-2 people get to enjoy FFXI a bit more, I don't mind keepin this thread saved in my favorites and bumping it every now and then.

I think its good that this thread gets bumped every now and then if for nothing more than exposure. Sometimes we DO forget these things and need to be reminded why it is we love this game so much. It may not be REAL life but its still life in more ways than we're willing to admit.
