I don't like the karma system... seems to ***** some people and that sucks. I only rate up posts when someone posts a good guide other than that I don't have enough time in my day to decieded how much I like each thread.

Hehehe, see Lady. I just said you are cool and I got a rate down from people who dont like you. That proves that people are gonna rate you down for some dumb reason regardless of what it is. Personally I'm here to give advice and goof around a tad (like attempting to claim pages) and the second I goof around people give me bad ratings. So dont get mad at people that are stupid like that because you might become one of them yourself when you play their game. Both sides here have a point, so i'm gonna just say this.......EVERYBODY PLEASE QUIT YOUR ********* This should be the last post on this string because I don't want to deal with the people that are gonna start taking offense and flame away. I never noticed you enough to know whether I had a problem with you or not, so I guess you could say that my first impression of you is based on your first post in this thread. I have to be honest with you....It made rather a negative impression. That sort of name-calling is never appropriate, especially in a forum such as this (ESPECIALLY over something as ridiculous as this).
I have a theory that the people who complain the most about karma camping are themselves the worst offenders. If I see an excellent post, I rate it accordingly....and if it's a terrible post, I will likely rate it down. For instance, I rated your first post in this thread Awful....not because I have a personal problem with you, but because it is, quite frankly, a truly awful post. Not only does it have absolutely nothing to do with the game, but it is also offensive and inappropriate. In my opinion, you would do well to reevaluate your priorities.
You say that anyone who is not "involved" in this is "cool", but when you create a post like this, you drag the entire community into it. As it stands right now, you are a part of the problem, not the solution.

Also noticed I got hit ALOT today. Was 3.42 now I'm 3.39 and at my post count to go down that much over the course of a day, I have to have a troll stalking me.
I really think they need to rethink the karma system so it's only paying members that are scholar and/or sage status. I know there are alot of cool people that aren't premium members. But by making it premium only, you'll have the people that really care about the site contributing to the community. Yes, I know that there are alot of non-premium that care about the site just as much as the premium members do, but the premium members have a financial reason for wanting this site to be the best it can be.
I'd also be in favor of only sages and up being able to rate posts. I'd lose my ability to rate posts, but oh well.. the site would be a better place.
edit: something else I'd be in favor of that would help the karma system:

You're not giving the camper satisfaction, and after a few days of camping, the admin'll record that persons IP, and stop them from being able to record anyone at all. If the decreases were unjust, they may even reinstate your karma too.
