Trizzoro I haven't typically agreed with you on to many things, but on this I agree 100%.

There is the Off Topic Area for a reason. If you want to spam do it over there. This is the FFXI forum and as such threads should be kept to FFXI topics.

Every other thread here is usless spam, and it annoys me to know end. If you post spam in a forum other then Off Topic Expect to be rated down and stop whining about it. The same would happen in any other forum, so why do people expect it to be different here?

If you post content releated to the game (still not just useless spam (ie. Can I have some Gil?)) then good for you, but if you are posting usless crap and you know it then please stop and spare the thousands of people that view this forum your ravings.

Just my Smiley: twocents

Rate Up.

HolyEmelyn I thank you for your impartiality, at least we can agree on one thing!

And War, I've not the time nor interest to "troll" your threads, I just ignore them, as they should be ignored.

A thread complaining and whining about threads that are whining and complaining, then people agreeing with the uselessness of making "I agree"-type posts.

That aside, the thing I've noticed lately is that there are a lot of people who take this forum just way too seriously. Yeah, it can be annoying and obnoxious, but it's not important. I understand people forming friendships and what-not over a message board, but this one in particular seems to have turned into quite the Boy's Club. There is a certain holier-than-thou quality to the posts of a few people, and it seems unwarranted. There are people who I consider to be knowledgeable and still friendly (Trickybeck the Sly is the first that comes to mind), and then there are people who seem to have access to or understanding of a lot of information but act very put-upon when they're called on to dispense it.

There's nothing saying you have to post here at all. If it bugs the snot out of you to repeat yourself for the umpteen-jillionth time, don't do it. Or do what many others have started doing: Just toss up a link to the appropriate thread with the same information therein and be done with it. The misanthrope attitude has gotten very old.

Smiley: clap @ Jen for the best post in this thread. Nicely said!

Enjoy this version of this forum while you can. Blink, and the forum will never be the same. Pretty soon you will wonder outloud "what ever happened to Dark illyana or Notcoach or any of them." and then it hits you.

Wow, deep... Seriously, I can't imagine being part of a forum for so long. And I remember those people you speak of...

I'm stage 3, the diehard gamer. I only post from work, and all I can do it look stuff up, so I know TOO MUCH about the game... /sigh

the reason they sigh or mark down is because the same topic still can be seen on the first-third pages of the forum.

it's not that it is hidden somewhere on page 20...it's still very much at the forefront of the forum.

what can you farm at lvl 40? gee, maybe the same stuff you farm at lvl 30 and lvl 20 since we're looking for less danger versus time spent.

where can you level? gee, maybe the same places that everyone else is?

what's the best sub for warrior? gee, try checking the warrior forum first.

see, that's why *some* posts are looked-down on as soon as they are written.
