UBERLINK.. And the Samoth Factor..Follow

Looks like the ****** section of the Counter-Strike community made its way to FFXI. Goody. More 12 year olds with temper tantrums.

As seen there are 2 sides to the story, and it's hard to tell who's in the right.


However, just as a note for those who haven't been to zvahl, it is a very very dangerous place. Not necessarily because of the monsters themselves, but because on the walkways, where mobs will agro from different levels. This means that it someone gets just a big too close to the edge, you will in about 3 minutes have a train of 30 demons coming to say hi. They will not move right up the walkway. Instead they run down the halls and then up, bringing all their friends.

So I can understand his requests for the others to stay back, though I would certainly have explained why before going in.

*Wow, this is pretty sad and pathetic that it has to come to this...I have never EVER posted anything on a message board before b/c I just have better and more important things to do with my time, but I found it necessary to create an account and do so in this case. *When a person chooses to participate in a online game, they will most certanitly encounter situations that ARE to their liking, and that ARE NOT to their liking. I have known people that have been warped out of parties before, and of course were not happy, but they didn't run to a message board,at like 5 in the morning, and cry about it, b/c 1). They have a life, and 2). They are more mature than that, and are not still sucking on their mama's tits like some people apparently still are.
*I have partied once or twice before with Samoth, and I hate to say it, but in both experiences, Samoth was a total inconsiderate player. Samoth wanted everything to be done his way(mind you he was not the leader in both parties)and he was giving selfish orders that would obviously benefit only his own. Now, this is not to say that Samoth is a bad person, he may very well be a totaly kickass cool guy in real life.
*I am not in Uberlink, nor have I ever experienced any bad situations with them. However, I do know that some of them were kind enough to STOP what they were doing, escape themselves out of the castle, and help us out that night. As soon as we got there, Samoth started with the smartass remarks. Samoth, if you were not satisfied with what was going on, then you should have just left and not wasted anyone else's time. But you chose to stay and that was also fine. I, and others, warned you that if you kept your relentles negative comments up, I would be forced to warp you out. After I saw your second smartass remark, >>> I <<< decided (being the leader of the party) that if you said one more unpleasant thing, I would be forced to warp you. Soon after this warning, I got a tell from a friend who !!!WAS NOT!!!with us in that party, like I already told you many many times Samoth. He was saying that you were sending his friend (someone in the party) tells and arguing with them. I didn't think twice, but maybe I probably should have, and I warped you out. After returning to Jeuno, I began talking to you and apolgized for having to do what I did and gave you my reasons for doing so.
*I didn't know that you had past animosity with members in Uberlink, and that is not my problem. The whole reason why I am writing this is because I feel that it was absolutly unecessary for you to come on an extremly public window,like this, and start naming names and belittling players like you did. Obviously, you lack ethic's,a conscious, and a brain to write what you did.
*I am truly sorry if I offended anyone, I just hate to involve myself in this sort or feeble drama that highschools kids bicker about. I also do not like to share information like this with people I do not even know. This is a matter that should have been kept between ONLY the people who experienced it. However, Samoth decided to take the initiative and make it public, so now I am just following through.
*I am just 1 person giving my opinion on what I experienced that night, you can make your own decisions on believing me or not. Honestly, I really dont care. I just go on the game to have fun, and yea stupid s@#$ happens to me also, but I get over it.

Lera... if it really is you... you are still a TOOL for letting someone TELL you to warp someone when against their will.

Oh and Mxerz, I read your posts in the other thead... wow... you have.. wow... some serious power-issues... (and yes, I am a stupid lvl 19 nOOb without 7eet gear so I know you don't care what I say).. but when you quit playing this game, none of the stuff you have earned will go with you (including your dark and ice staves)... and you will still be someone who has some serious issues.

Oh, and pretty coincidental that Mxers posts... what 6 minutes after Lera (first post ever)... hmmm.... I think I smell a bull...

Sarii... Samoth helped form that group. He helped recruit people for it. I would go as far as to say how can you even imagine telling someone after this.

The whole fact that Samoth sent me a tell wondering if he should get out of the PT anyways to avoid having to deal with them is remarkable. It shows that the reputation was bad enough that he could see trouble on this level coming to him from 20 minutes away. Forsight like this isn't luck, its experience... experience of dealing with people like that.





You know, that is a whole lot of not wanting to come here and talk on this "low and degrading" of a post for you to be here talking. You where half the problem in that group.

You get mad at people being belittled yet you come here to complain that Samoth was being a smartass. I was also a bystander as you said, and the whole comment of "Maybe if they just explained themselves" was in no way selfish, rude, or arrogant. When their is total chaos going in the group as to what is happening, asking "why" is a very valid reason.

I think though, for the most part in the discussion of the castle incident and not just the UL part, you are a very overlooked problem with this.

You are the one that invited the alliance, not needing it, and not informing a single person in the PT. No one ever mentioned once that they would be their or that you would be inviting them.

Not only that, but you where incapable of leading your party and let UL start barking orders, hence, the chaos problem of no one doing what was supposed to be done.

Third, you let Mxer lie to you enough that would warp2 someone out right before their AF completion without a second thought. You where just brown nosing your way up to UL for some reason. Did you ask Samoth about the fake tells Mxer was saying he did? No, you just warped him anyways. Even if he was telling off a person, its hardly enough to strip away someone's AF from them. That was your choice to do the warp. Its almost sickening to see their is someone that would do this, almost like jangling a dogs food bowl before slamming them into a cage. I honestly am disgusted with you as a person more then any of the people of UL.

Brookie, stop chop shopping what everyone says and come up with your own valid argument. It's getting quite annoying to see a sentence taken out of someone's *whole* argument and turned around in meaning. Just get up off that chair, leave the thread alone, and find something else to do, you've posted on the thread, 10+ times correcting and flaming, let the people remained focused on what is said. If you follow along with the messages posted in this forum, you will know for yourself what Sarii said and should not be affected "if" I was misquoting her.

I have sat here and delt with twisted versions of every story possible to on the event of the Castle trip, and have repeatedly told you and a few others members of UL to read the original post as they are completely twisting any sense inititally implied.


What I quoted where the exact lines from Sarii's post that claim that posting on message boards was immature and a waste of time. I was not chopping this up as I was not taking any meaning from this. I was simply showing her negatives to the situation.

The basic outcome of what I'm saying is this:
If you think its a waste of time posting on the likes of this BBS then why are you doing so.
