okay just to save EVERYONE time, effort, and THOUSANDS of posts i will just tell you where to farm, even though all of these places have been answered in thousands of posts, i will make it 1 thousands and 1 posts and hopefully end it all.
Lower levels -
i will say 10-39.
Sandoria
Ghelsba
Fire crystals - every orc and lizard drops them.
Windurst
Crawlers - Silk = 700-100. Easy easy money.
Crawler caluli - 3 = 600
Birds - Fire crystals
Yagudo - lovely lovely yagudo. necklaces 200-500 gil. necklace + wind = grass thread = 1200 a stack or cloth skill. Necklace + lightening = copper ingot = goldsmithing skill
drop yagudo feathers.
Walking Saplings - herb seeds. ~500 gil each.
bees- 3k a stack of chips. 2k a stack of honey
15+ north east Horo tower in east saru.
goblin thugs - wild onions 4k a stack.
Middle Level
40-50
Tons of places
Pashow -
3k cuttings from gobbue
Malboro - evasion head thing worht ~2k
crawlers - silk
bees - chips
Elementals - lightening and water

Get cooking to level 40 - 12 stacks of meat mithkabobs a night sold at 220 gil = 12k PROFIT PER NIGHT
Get Goldsmithing to level 20 - Go to giddeus and steal tons of silver beastcoins. Couple thousand per stack of ingots
Drain Scroll - Easy sandoria quest. quick 15k
Aspir Scroll - easy windurst quest. quick 15k
Teleport Holla - Sandoria quest. easy 10k
Teleport Dem - Took me ~5 mins. worth 30k *wow* even a level 1 with sneak/invis can do this quest.
Friar rope quest - sandoria. 4k
Stop asking about the best farming place and go out and just try some areas and some things.
Gardening. Wow
Okay i love gardening. every 2 weeks i am 200k richer.
get 10 pots (i use brass)
plant 10 tree cuttings
get 20 light crystals
bang boom done. you will get some rock salt but 40k per stack of plat nuggets makes up for it.
This is the ultimate guide to making money. just go out and do it yourself.

Another thing in Pashow, there are those two NM, Jolly Green and Bloodpool Something (Sorry it's late), which you can check on while you farm. Also, Goobbues also drop Boyhada (sp?) Moss which is 600 gil per in Selbina for a quest... Easy gil and you don't even have to wait for it to sell! You can also take a Thief up to Yugghot Grotto and slay massive Orcs (as long as nobody's lookin' for keys) or anywhere else for gil, and some of the Leather Set too if you're lucky. Maybe you'll even get a treasure chest. I got my whole party 826 gil from one chest! :D

tahrongi mandragoras drop saruta cotton ;) 4k per stack, also not bad and fairly easy to get, i get one hell of a train going there and BAM cyclone with treasure hunter 2 cleans up. also works good for saving money on an exspensive leveling range in clothcraft.

There is also Gausebit Grass dropped by Wadi Hares in Dangruf Wadi that sell for 700-900 in the AH on my server.
You can kill the (May Fly?) flies in Tahrongi Canyon for the grass as well. I made a nice profit in Pashhow yesterday, like 15k in 40 minutes. Its becoming a bit popular though, so try to spread out when you go!! Also, on my post up there, it was Lizard, and not Leather armor. They also drop Black Slacks and Mitts. ^^

At around level 30 as probably any melee you can solo Tremor and Battering Rams in La Theine Plateau and Konchstat(sp) Highlands. It is usually best to sub RNG so you can hunt them down quicker instead of just running around hoping you'll find one. It is a good idea to have RNG leveled for this though.
I have seen a level 22 Dragoon with White Mage sub soloing Battering Rams in La Theine Plateau. The higher level you are though the faster you can kill and the more you can make an hour.
Also at level 30 harvesting in giddeus if you have the room in inventory, time, patience, and the necessary field gear this can be a profitable way to make money at this level. You can also kill Yagudo and Bees for Silver Beastcoins and Beehive Chips. If you're lucky you can claim an NM or two as well. I would recommend staying out of the area with Votarys and the other higher level yagudo in the zone. This is because they are still easy prey at around level 30-32 and will aggro you. Plus they are a pain to solo.
