My question is, could this be a better way to guage fame, by item price, say you had 0 fame, and ItemX sold for 20000 gil. If when you had max fame ItemX sold for 19000gil, you could thus gauge fame as a function of that difference. For example, if it coted 19500, you have 50% fame.

Has anyone crunched numbers on this, or already debunked this theory. Is there a formula, is it a simple arithemetic equation, or is it more complex, possibly quadradic or worse... Does conquest dominance of each nation affect these numbers?

If there isn't any information on this already, or no reasons this would not work, I would be interested to look into it and even spend a few gils (like 1-5k) to do some initial tests.
