I just bought an adaptor and PS2 controller, and I went to the PlayOnline config and set it to use a controller. Thing is, now I can use the controller to move through menus and stuff on the PlayOnline viewer, but when I log in FF it just doesn't respond. Do I have to turn it on for FF or something?
I have no idea what's wrong... but thanks for the help in advance, guys.

I believe that their are two different controller configurations. One for playonline, and one for Final Fantasy.
Go to your Square folder...
FF11\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ToolsUS
Their should be 4 configs their.
2 controller configs
2 regular FF configs.
you need to set both.

just go to start ->program files -> ffxi then in there u should see ffxi config. on the first window u shoud see gamepad, u configure the gamepad for ffxi there. gamepad settings for playonline is just for the PO tool itself not ffxi.
