Okay i hear lotsa lotsa rants about Qufim, hell i put one up myself a ways back.
Bad groups, no groups, stupid people, etc.
Most people reply with HUNT SOMEWHERE ELSE. Good enough but if you look at it there is nowhere as accessible from a city/bind point perspective for the lvl 20-25 people out there. Also most other places are so deserted that hard to find group.
Here is what I did and it worked well, in every bad group that i was in there was always 1 or 2 people that were cool, knew what they were doing and felt the same way as i did about the situation.
Well over time i met quite a few cool people, we started grouping together, they introduced me to more cool people, i introduced them to people, we warned eachother about people to stay away from etc.
There were about 20 of us so there was always at least one group going at all times so i found that once I got hooked up with good people that the XP would fly by.
This took about a week of frustration in Qufim to get going but once you meet the right people who know what they are doing its so smooth, and once you know who not to group with.

Yes I know, it was so hard for me in qufim before i got to know people there. Eventually I got into an amazing party and then they offered me to join their linkshell. I gained 2.5 lvls in about 3.5 hrs with this one party. That is days work with other ones and i stayed up very late into the night because I knew that I couldn't leave this pty...it was too good an opportunity for exp. But its still hard to get a really good pty....can only get them once in a while. But at least now that i'm lvl 25, i get offered into pty's much faster now.
I definatly agree with that. Meeting some goo dpeople really made a diffrence. I also highly suggest going to Delkfutt's Tower between 22 and 25. I gained thoes three levels in two hours chaining bats and goblins (the bats are very importnant, for they are easy as all h3ll and quick to get rid of).
Another issue about Qufim. Every guide you read tells you, "Go to Qufim to level 20-25." Wonderful. So everyone's in Qufim, and those poor people still looking for a party have been there for an hour.
Now. Say you don't want to hunt in Qufim, so you wanted to go to Battalia. Well, if you had to wait an hour to find yourself a party in Qufim, how long do you think you're going to have to wait to find yourself a party somewhere else?
Best advice is to find yourself a group in Jeuno, and instead of heading to Qufim, head out to Saromauge or Battalia...you may find it a bit easier.

I dunno why all of you have such bad luck in Qufim. I had a blast there my 1st and 2nd times. 1st time through i was a redmage and more recently as my paladin. I'm gonna be headed back there soon as my blm is lvl 18. I can't wait. I've had nothing but great experiences there. Love the place. Always able to get a group together and most of the groups have been good ^.^
Guess i'll just cross my fingers for the 3rd time through.

There is a very simple solution for all bad party problems, really. Organize your own. Then you will have everything you want - balanced job distribution. Subjobs that make sense. Yes, it might take longer, but better spend time building party then dying again and again... I know, I know when I ply whm I don't have to look for one :) but then I have to look for other classes and palladins or Dark knights are as rare (probably more) as whms.

I really don't see a problem. I just got to jeuno from upper j. From what i noticed there players ranging 20-23 all hanging around the chocobo stables doing the chocobo quest.
Just form a party from those people if you just got to town.
Friend told me paying 3k for the qufim map ain't worth it since it will be easy to find your own way around.

I'm just concerned with getting out of Qufim so I don't have to drag myself kicking and screaming through these last 4 bloody levels. Getting to 26 wasn't a problem, my second time around, but perhaps that's because only the really intelligent pts want DRGs.
