i just found this site, and it rocks. there're some pretty funny stories and anecdotes going on over here. so I thought I'd join and pose a question that's been bugging me for some time.
I've looked everywhere online and can't seem to find which elements link up to respective status ailments.
From what I understand, the greater your stat in a certain element, the greater your resistance is to a corresponding status ailment.
Does anyone know where to find this info and/or which ones synch up to which?

I talked to a taru in Windurst, and he gave me a small listing that works pretty well for me.
Fire - Disease (I'm guessing this is Virus)
Ice - Paralyze
Wind - Silence
Earth - Petrify, Slow
Lightning - Stun
Water - Poison
Light - Charm (Haven't run into any monsters who use charm yet, though)
Dark - Blind, Sleep, Curse, Bio
There are also the BLM ailments, but those are pretty much straightforward.
