Does anyone know how much the +1 on each peice of field gear actually helps? I recently found some platinum ore so I could buy the thing I originally wanted to buy, or I can buy a few field pieces. What do you think? If it really helps then I'll buy it, but not if it gives me only a few extra % points.

Buy the field gear, it's worth it trust me. It'll lessen the chances the equipment breaking but you will have a few occasional rounds where everything goes wrong. You also notice that you'll be able to get more ores than before.

Don't bother buying the worker gears though, they're just field gears with more defense. Plus the cost is way more expensive.
