Evasion?Follow

So looking through my equipment, I realized I had +17 Evasion.. now.. I'm wondering if anyone has noticed any real effect while using them. My evasion skill is near maxed for my level. If I were to equip Brass Scale inplace of the arms/legs/feet, I'd have roughly 6 more defense [I don't see a point in getting Centurion's Scale Mail since I'm not usually on the frontline], but only +5 Evasion which I get from my headgear. Would it be worth replacing some of the items I had [Martial Slacks, Air Solea, Scentless Armlets] with items that increase other attributes [MND/INT preferebly] ? I'm eyeing a Holy Phial [after I spend 70-80k for Dispel] to replace my Justice Badge as well as a Black Cape. I'm going by the chance that more evasion would mean me taking less hits thus not needing the +6 defense I'd otherwise have. So does anyone happen to have insight on evasion?

Along the same lines, if your evasion is capped, does extra evasion gear add to your evasion over the cap? I'm guessing it does, otherwise it would be somewhat useless to equip more evasion gear once your skill has capped.

from what i can tell, you're an RDM and you have that much evasion gear? mind listing what you're wearing since i think its pretty much the same as what a warr/thief can wear and i dont recall seeing that much +evasion gear? im a thief and even with thief-wearable equipment i only can get about +10 evasion at lvl 25.

i believe even if evasion is maxed, this + evasion adds to it.

Yea, I'm an RDM wearing that much gear.. Reason being is that there aren't many affordable shoes/leggings that increase MND/INT; same goes for the head/hands. This is the following of what I'm wearing that increases evasion:

Martial Slacks [Was dropped from the Crypt Ghost, might sell to go towards the Dispel fund]
Compound Eye Circlet
Air Soleas [Might replace for Mage's Sandals]
Scentless Bracelets [Waiting to get the Taru RSE Wonder Mitts]

Since you are a Taru Taru and you already have a lot of MP I would focus on MND and INT enhancing effects so you get strong heals/nukes. After that I would focus on Evasion and Defense enhancing equipment so you can survive aggro for a few hits.

I see a lot of Taru Taru go all out on the MP+ equipment but I don't think that is the best strategy. They end up getting killed by one crit or special attack from a mob. Or they cast very sparingly because they are so afraid of aggro and end up never getting to use that extra mana and slowing down the group.

I feel the same, in that I have plenty of MP being a Taru RDM so I'm looking for INT/MND increasing items, other things to help me out defensively if I can't find items that do increase INT/MND. In the meantime, I'm hoping items that give more evasion will due for now.
