i did the quest in the san region. the thing was, i intended to not do the quest, but somehow it turned out that i got two of the items just because i fought at the beach a lot, and the skull... a guy i didn't know who already had a sj found ghouls near the beach, invited me to his party, practically killed the ghouls himself, and the second ghoul, i got the skull o.O

The Old Lady quest is difficult but not impossible. The first two items are pretty easy to get. Granted Bogies are insanely difficult to a party of six at lvl 18. But if you have a lvl 30+ friend, kind-hearted stranger, or mercenary, it's real easy to get a bloody robe. Bogies are very common on both beaches in Bubu Penninsula We had a lvl 30 Mnk/Thf mercenary slaughering Bogies. Out of five Bogies killed we got four robes.
My brother's from San D'Oria and he came over to Mhaura to do the quest due to the number of people in Valkrum that would swarm the area looking for subjob items. He was fortunate and was able to trade his Thf Treasure Hunter skill (they needed a Carbunkle Ruby) for a Bloody Cape.
Just don't accept the quest from Vera until you get the items.
