The last thing this game needs is someone at high levels who hasn't done the work to understand how his character functions. It's called experience for a reason. It takes time to accumulate, and it isn't measured in points, but in hours.

If I knew how to rate threads down, I'd do it.

Rating info is in the FAQ, but I won't be a $@#%@# about it and give you the snippet:

Q: I see posters rated as Scholar, Sage and Guru. What's up with that and how do I get a title?

A: That is part of the Karma system. Your Karma rating is determined by averaging every rating your posts have received from the users of the site. The rating comes from posts made under your registered name on any of the rated forums for any game covered by allakhazam.com, but does not include posts on user journals. You must have at least 15 posts before you receive a Karma rating. Then any future post you make will start out at your Karma level. Anonymous posts start at a rating of 2. Titles are assigned to your posts according to the following scale:

Karma below 3 = user. Posts are in dark blue.
Karma between 3.01 and 3.65 = scholar. Posts are in yellow.
Karma between 3.66 and 4.34 = sage. Posts are in green.
Karma between 4.35 and 5 = guru. Posts are in red.
-----
And to rate, I think you have to have at least a 3 (someone correct me if I'm wrong), and you rate posts through a dropdown box under the name, number of posts, and score, then hit the button at the bottom of the page to rate. Of course, if you haven't seen it yet, then you can't rate posts yet.

A GM wouldnt have anything to do with anything outside of the game. And Im sure SE is aware of these sites but are not willing to get involved with an untested legal matter.

Morquendii, you also have to realize that this happens with nearly ANY mmorpg out there. You're acting like S-E is out on some witch hunt to find people like this.

If you're assuming that every single person that plays any game is going to follow every rule to a T, then I'll tell you about this bridge that I have for sale. :) I'll even give you a deal on it if you'll pay cash. ;)

Reasoning against selling your account:

POL account requires a credit card, even though there's no fee. FFXI account requires a credit card. You can't remove the credit card info without losing your account immediately, therefore to give someone else your account your CC info will still be on that account until they change it. Why even risk some of your info getting into the wrong hands? It's like handing someone the CC receipt with the first twelve digits marked out; if they work hard enough and want it bad enough, they'll get your CC number plus your SSN (if they're American) and whatnot.
