Computer Hardware Requirement QuestionFollow

I'm upgrading a friends PC so he will be able to play FFXI. I understand what the minimum hardware requirements are but I want to get people's opinions on what the minimum hardware requirements are to play the game w/ good smooth graphics. I know you don't need to have a top of the line Radeon 9800 XT but will it run smoothly on a Geforce FX 5200 w/ 128MB video RAM? Also the motherboard is only 4x AGP and the processor is an AMD Athlon XP 1800 and only 256MB of system RAM. Hopefully this will run the game in an enjoyable manner. Any help or comments are appreciated. Thanks!

i have the ati 9600 and i can safely say that its probably your best value of all the cards mentioned. the performance jump from the 9600 to the 9600xt may not be worth the extra $50 if FFXI is the main reason for the upgrade.
