When to start Advanced Job Quests?Follow

#1 Jan 15 2004 at 4:02 PM Rating: Decent
Hey-

For many of the advanced job quests, they require you obtain certain items... Is it possible to start hunting the items down before you hit level 30???

I especially wanted to try to get the ruby for the Summoner, because I heard that it takes forever.

It is possible and in fact you can do portions of the paladin quest well below level 30. I know, cuz I did the first part at lvl 10.

Anyway, as far as the ruby goes, yes you could get the ruby before level 30, however, make sure you hunt with someone who is level 30+. While no one can prove that this is the case, it seems that the ruby will not drop unless at least one person is level 30.

Yes, just like you can start collecting subjob quest items before you hit 18, some of the advanced job quests you can start early, or at least collect items needed. I did the first part of the Paladin quest at level 8 to get the Spatha :P

If you can handle acrophies, by all means go after that ruby, you just won't be able to actually do anything with it until you hit 30 and activate the Summoner quest.

Yes, but you can quite easily disprove it. More than once I've been in a party in Qufim where nobody is above 28 fighting Acrophies, and had a ruby drop. Pretty much the only thing you really really want with you is a main thief, or someone at 30 or above with thief subbed. Treasure Finder makes your life a lot easier. ^^;
