I'm finally at the level with my dragon that I need that great RSE armor :D. What I was wondering was how the treasure chests work. If I buy some thieves tools for a thief in my LS and he opens the chests, will the pattern still come out and me be able to lot for it? Or do I have to open the chest myself? Also if he does get the pattern, can he give it to the gob and have the armor made for me? Since I haven't done the quest not really sure how all of it works. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to loot the chest yourself and it HAS to be the right cave and the right week for your gender AND race. I use the Virtual Vanadiel Timer to know when and where to go.
