Havent seen any change. If your lvl 10-13 they will be IT, as soon as you hit lvl 14 to 15 they will be VT to tough with the odd IT. So as long as your not in a party with somone that is not 15 or higher they give 200xp for IT and 130-150 for VT.

Doesnt matter what they are to you, it matters what they check into to the highest level person in group. Its that way for everything.

hmm, perhaps you didnt read my post. At lvl 14 and 15 the xp for them will drop cause they are no longer Incredibly tough. Some may, but most will be Tough. So yeah, you wont get xp. Not like you can be lvl 70 and think you can get the same xp from mobs you fought at lvl 10...eh.

it depends on your group make-up. if you're on the low end of a 2-level span then you'll get noticeably less exp on things which con IT to you (generally in this 50-80 range..sometimes 100).

compared to fighting these same monsters with people in your same lvl or just one above, youll be getting 120-150..sometimes 200.

and another note, since it sounds like you're coming thru this again with another job, ive noticed that with different jobs/weapon proficiency you get different check msgs. this affects the exp also (eg some decents range from 50-75 exp or so)

Our highest Level Member was a 16 BLM... not to efficiant..

the rest were 13s and 14s..

Thanks Muchly <^_^>

<and another note, since it sounds like you're coming thru this again with another job, ive noticed that with different jobs/weapon proficiency you get different check msgs>

This is dependent on your weapon skill, not your job class. If you leveled a WHM to 30 with a maxed club skill then started up a BLM using clubs your club skill will always be maxed and the check will probably always tell you "Low evasion and defense". Switch to a dagger and the same mob will change to "High evasion and defense".

Also, the check messages and exp differ because of the level of the monster. You'll obviously get more exp for a lvl 20 IT than a lvl 19 IT. Experience is determined by what it checks to the HIGHEST level. If you had gotten rid of the lvl 16, your exp would have jumped a good deal. This is why melee should always be the highest in groups, not mages. If the casters are the highest, the group will end up with either crappy exp from low level pulls or crappy exp from melee needing to pull things higher than what they can handle.

Uh some XP: xplained

Rule 1: XP for the party is determined by the difficulty of the monster.

Rule 2: XP for the party is determined by the highest level member of the party.

Rule 3: All members below the highest level party member is determined by a percentage between the 2 character levels. (applys through lv 50)
EX: Your level=18 Highest Party member level=20
18/20= 90% xp from the monster

Monster XP: (values differ a little more with less then 6 ppl)
IT: 151+ per member
VT: 100-150 per member
T: 50-100 per member

Ex: Your level=18 Highest Party member level=20
Monster checks to you as an IT
Monster checks to the level 20 as only a T
XP for the monster is based on Tough level, NOT IT so XP will only be in the 50-100 range compounded by your 10% xp loss by level difference.

Want more info bout the xp break downs between all the levels then go to the site below for a couple of charts (also lists monsters all the way down to Ez prey.)

Hope this helps
