Ok . . . yay . . a thread devoted to my Pet Peeve

Hooeypoo (TaruTaru) = Ok . . has the word Poo in it, however props for being in genre with the Taru naming system . . . even talk cutaru, and ended up being an excellent friend, and LS Mate

Partyboy (Hume)= anoying, yet not so much that I'm incensed. Have avoided associating with him though . . . just cause.

ChieckenFart (Galka I think) = Makes me go AARRGGHHAAAAA GETOFF GETOFF GETOFF . . .

Just my two Gill Smiley: twocents

What is wrong with a little Les Mis? My character is Thenardier - I just did my name as a joke and suddenly it worked. I didn't expect it to, but when I knew I was going to play thief, I thought of the only thief name that wasn't from the gaming world and actually sounded like a decent name.

Of course, it doesn't help that I have been playing Monk for a while now...

I saw two Taru together named Mage and Healer. I mean c'mon, if you're going to pay $12.95 per month a piece, the least you can do is think up a name for your characters. :)

I think there's a Hiroshima on every server.. from waht i've seen and read here.

I saw the Galka named Buttercup yesterday...lol

I personally commend players with original Tolkien names..
so far I've seen:
Elwing
Morgoth
Melkor
Silmarillion
Elessar
Thurandil
...still nothing too obscure.

I think the name says alot about the persons attitude toward gameplay. To me the name of your character is a very important thing.... It seems some people don't really care too much and jut put any old throw-away name they can think of.... Me personally put some long thought in the naming of my characters in Any RPG.
I like how lots of Westerners use Oriental sounding names and then ***** about being mistaken to Japanese players.

Morrigan (Celtic goddess of War)
I name you Thread Starter Supreme!!! All of your threads seem to really take off.. Kudos

I saw this AH mule in bastok: it was a hume female with no clothing (underoos), her name was "ForSale." Funny as hell seeing her slowly walking back and forth in front of the AH counters. LOL

For those who do not know... Drizzt

http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=fr/fx20010117d

Original link above. text below.

Despite his increasing fame (or infamy) across the Sword Coast North as a drow who dwells on the surface, is deadly in battle, fights with great agility and two enchanted scimitars, and can call on an onyx panther figurine of wondrous power to bring a battle companion to his side, Drizzt Do’Urden remains an enigma.

He worships Mielikki and makes war on the cruel city of his birth (Menzoberranzan), his fellow drow, and all who serve Lolth. He counts as friends human warriors of the North (Wulfgar and Cattie-brie) and the dwarf Bruenor Battlehammer, whom he helped to regain the rulership of Mithral Hall. He has slain dragons and drow matron mothers. He defied fiends (Errtu) and powers (Lolth), battled perhaps the most deadly assassin currently active in Faerûn (Artemis Entreri), and sought to forge his own life on the surface.

Thoughtful and sensitive to others, Drizzt holds himself to the highest ideals but does not expect the same of others. Ever alert for treachery and danger, he speaks little but is apt to be polite (if terse) in his dealings. A perfectionist who yearns to be accepted into places and groups and to make friends widely, Drizzt is haunted by the danger he brings to those he befriends thanks to the scrutiny of Lolth and his other foes (notably Errtu and Entreri). Those he meets see his manner as grim.

Early in his surface travels, Alustriel welcomed him as warmly and personally as she does all in need, but dared not let him openly into Silverymoon at that time. His deeds have, very slowly, made Drizzt Do’Urden more welcome in the Sword Coast North.

And as for names I have "People" in my linkshell. A Taru Male.
I'm attemting to get the mithra "Famous" as the two would probably make a good group. I have also seen on Asura "Tic" "Tac" and "Toe" at the windurst auction halls.

Theres a Galkan named "Barfbag" out there somewhere and there's soo many more.

Xiru, Shell keeper of the group "RedMageSociety"
18 red, 12 white, 8 thief, 6 black, 4 monk, 4 fighter (at the time of this posting)

Ahh, i've seen some jewels like : Ilikepoo or Ssjtrunks (dragonball character), which told me after i made a comment about his name: "At least i have a cool name then a lame name name like yours".

Lol, i'll never claim my name to be cool or "1337", but i'll sure claim that i used the bit of imagination i have to get something original.

But the ones i hate the most are names suah as: Ultimasephiroth, Sephirothscloud, Holykuja, Yunaforever, Cidhighwind, and so on.

I used a Japanese name not realizing we'd all be playing on the same servers... of course, I'm certainly not complaining. I like being friends with level 70 white mages who can make expensive quest items practically for free.

Now you know

Then love me and despair!

Got my Elvaan name as Ainulindale, the Song of the Ainur that creates Middle-Earth!

Had a Dwarf Warrior in EQOA named Kahzad, and a Halfling Cleric named Trotter. Trotter was the Halfling Tolkien created but never used. He originally led the 4 hobbits from Bree to Imladris, and he wore wood shoes ^^ He eventually got turned into the character Aragorn.

ahh the Treason of Isengard....

Got to love Christopher Tolkiens pleasant recycling of the Books, with his bloated commentaries..
Interesting that Tolkien pretty much was making everything up as he went along.... yet calculated moon cycles and wind directions when writing...... yeah.. he rules

BTW.. I have seen the name Tolkien in game as well..

and I made Kelvyquayo to sound like Quenya... (although it would more accurately be spelled Celviquayo)..the K makes it look Adunaic..but oh well

And .. Ainuindale is prolly the Best one yet I've seen...until I see an Iluvatar..
