Ok, gang:

Now that I have several 85's, I need help on where to hunt. I looked up on the list of zones, but so many of them have progressions which at the moment I do not have time to unlock. Only getting very limited hours, but want to rock my warrior/shammie molo'd.

Went to Void A and the field of bone ( ?) was ok, but lots of multiple mobs. Greenfields ( ?) was all light blue, and Brells was a wipe and I remember GM'n when this came out and these zones just bugged me ( might heave to get over that Smiley: glare )

Any advise would be great...thanks all!!

Hi Yen,

The Feerrott Dream zone should net good xp as they nerfed down the hit points on much of the trash mobs there including making some of the snakes "weak con" mobs. Plenty dark blue to yellow con mobs (to a lvl85 character) in the zone - though it may be crowded as many 85's heroics are concentrated there atm hunting on my server at least..

But there's others....Old Bloodfields : (hotzone for 85 atm and a challenging zone at 85 with 85-86 mobs)..

Fort Mech or Gyro Beza and Zeka (mainly 78-83 mobs iirc)..

Hills of Shade: (80 hotzone w/mainly 78-83 mobs)

Loping Plains: for easy mode(75-79 mobs)..

Though there are other zones available at that range I cant remember of atm..

Good luck.

They've made a bunch of changes to tutorialish/newb hub the one part of the higher level Feerott up. I'll definately need to do the questlines they've put in there to get my head around it (life as a boosted 85).

Great post Hexeez. Timely info lots should need.

I did fairly well with my 85 SK in Koesara Library. Hills of shade is a fairly safe place and I actually got pretty good exp there (its a hotzone so don't forget to pick up your daily task from pok). The 85 hotzone Old Bloodfields should be ok for you. I was able to molo there with my j5 cleric merc. Have to be very careful though its easy to get adds and they hit hard and fast. Hills of shade I didn't even need to use my merc and very little downtime self buffed.

Yes Yen at lvl 75 the choices for xp are limitless compared to 85 and up...one could theoretically stay at lvl 75 for years and never run out of content.

True Snailish,
Feerrott-Dream is alive and kicking as a result atm.. These days there are usually 30-40 lvl 85's in the zone during prime time on my server... This, since heroic characters were introduced. In fact, I noticed they even introduced new (weak con) mobs in the zone also.

Forgot about Kaesora Library as said by Fronglo (82-85 mobs) = Good xp also at the level... as is Toskirakk (81-85 mobs).

At level 85 the key to Old Bloodfields imho is to be aware that it is a high density mob zone (density like Dreadlands multiplied by two) with few ideal camp spots, plenty roamers that are all social and many across racial lines....

The Kyv's summon but are snareable ...

The Dragorn's summon..many with no damage necessary for them to summon you.

The Ikaav's do not summon but some are castors so when aggroed they stay where they were initially aggroed for a while and cast spells, often aggroing other roaming mobs passing by.

The Noc's do not summon..

Usually OBF has atrocious per kill xp but since a hotzone it is good xp once the tank can handle one add and the group dps is taking down the mobs pretty fast..

Good luck and hope it helps.

Kaesora Library is off of Old Field of Bone(or Field of Scale) just north of the one way zone out to Emerald Jungle in the south eastern part of the zone.

Good luck.

Ashengate from the Serpents Spine expansion is a good place to learn new classes. Mobs summon, see through invis, and rampage. You should grind some AAs there (remember, you only get AAs through Underfoot and the House of Thule expansion has some very worthy AAs in it even at 85—especially spell casting subtlety for casters). I'd do a 60/40 AA to regular XP split. Mobs here are quite a bit easier than other zones, and if you've got AC aug needs there are three that drop in the zone (an AC 20, 22 and 30 (rare off a named mob Argil Oppressor, not the similarly named an_argil_oppressor)). Any of the mobs laying down you can target from afar by doing a /tar an_arg or /tar Argil (note if you're targeting something with a space in its name, you must use an underscore_between words).

Hills of Shade is the 80 Hotzone. It's great, especially if you're a paladin. Near the water, there's a town of normal looking folks that are almost all actually undead, so you can Slay Undead away (my now-level 94 Paladin (after swarming this areas this weekend) can swarm the town and the docks area with ease, your 85 group shouldn't have problems with multiple pulls.

If you got the Old Bloodfields route, you there are two easy camps to get to. Either go right or go left out of the gate and go to one of the corners. Plenty of room to kill stuff and you can usually get single or double pulls.
