So ive been thinking about what to get level 85 on my 2 accounts. Im thinking a Mage on 1 of them for sure...just for the fact well pet armors and the soloing ability is top notch...I was thinking of pairing that mage with either a necro (pet toys) or a enchanter, and only the enchanter because i could use a pocket chanter on my main acct. I have a 70 enc on my second acct. I have most other class i could want or could think i can play proper.

So when i get home from work im going to hop right on and see what i pick.....any thoughts????

PS almost all of my toons I play are on my sig.....

So I may play again on either Cazic or FV since there will be an uptick for grouping while the Heroic rush lasts.

Notes on heroic:

1) Silver have access to one free heroic character. (not sure about new or existing bronze accounts)
2) Heroic auto-grants silver to 1k AA spent with no option to self select AA purchases. ( test on silver account L56 Bard)
3) Every skill, including alcohol tolerance and begging, are maxed with the exception of tradeskills which are bumped to 25.

I heroiced my existing necro (on gold account) in <Lunar Mutant Rights Now> on Cazic Thule server. I have a 77 necro retired elsewhere... and the leap to 85 from what I had been playing was silly huge. Lots of AA abilities I haven't got a clue about. Gonna have to read up. I really liked the granting of the DoN and Muramite trials AA/stat buffs though.

On my seldom logged in box silver account (my machine can't handle boxing for much more than buffing) I made a new heroic mage, also on CT. This character got all the same benefits (plat, gear, mount, Bayle marks) but the AA were held at 1000. Sub gold for a month and autogrant would fix that though. I only made the character just in case... since the freebie will expire long before I am likely to want to box (or be able to machine wise).

Couldn't resist and took up the option for the free lvl 85 heroic characters on my three accounts a couple hours ago..

I created the Ranger I wanted, another Enchanter and a third Shammy : The Ranger was granted 5530 AA's, Enchanter 4536 AA's and Shaman 5201 AA's upon creation.

All had rank 1 spells to 85 and got 15Kpp plus (2) 24 slot/100% WR bags, 6 Pure Energeian Orbs, a J1 Merc and a mount amongst some other small goodies.

They autogrant DoN and Muramite stuff? Wait. Are they autogranting those to existing characters too? I was just thinking that I should go blow through the rest of the DoN stuff at some point.

Kinda think that's silly though, given that at high enough level they're pretty easy to do.

Well maybe they thought level and AAs weren't enough incentive with auto-grant available. They should be kinda boring to do by 85 other than last few tiers of DoN. I'm just saying I usually do all of that stuff by the 70s. So what do I know, maybe it is fun to solo it.

At this point, only my Heroic Characters have been granted all 6 ranks of the Trials of Mata Muram resist cap AA's..

While the other existing characters on my accounts did not gain any and I know for sure because I did 5 of 6 ranks on them and its still 5 of 6 ranks on those 3 existing characters that did them..

Gonna make mine on FV, since I have some close to that level there to box with, and I will leave my Cazic crew as the "gimped pimped " group...I know with track season in full swing I don't have many nights off, but could do Friday nights later pacific time.

On my main account, I raised my Paladin from 76 to 85. It was my first char, so I had to for sentimental reasons. On my Silver account (started when my nephew was 12 so he could tag along with me Smiley: nod) I raised a Beastlord from 26 to 85. Lastly, on my F2P account, I raised a Bard from 21 to 85. I am a bit confused by the autogrant AA's however. On the Silver account, it says xxxx/1000, on the F2P account xxxx/250. The "xxxx" values are significantly higher than the cap levels. During the two months I dropped to Silver on my main account, my above mentioned Paladin was 1090/1000 in AA's. It almost looks as if my two free accounts were autogranted the full AA amount.

I think they are all getting the appropriate amount of AA for a level 85, if you are silver or F2P capped you just wont be able to earn any more.

Cazic server: L85 SHM named Junipero on a F2P account. I put her in the Mutants and created spell set lists and macro's. The F2P Apprentice II Mercenary is almost worthless, but I think the shm can do okay in normal group situations.

What I'm debating is whether I should upgrade my 84 BL just so I can get a level V journeyman Merc. Currently I only have lvl 2 merc.

Is the merc quest they put in Feerott only available to heroic characters or can any 85+ do it?

If your 84 beast hadnt done DoN progression or MPG trials you get those bonuses too. Others have posted that most of that isn't hard to backtrack at 85 though. So it depends on convience to yourself I guess.

I had made an Iksar Shaman months ago but he was standing at the zone-in spot in Crescent Reach, still level 1, because I hadn't the heart to actually go raise him to 80... So he got heroiced. He has 5201/1000 AA since he's on a Silver account.
On my main account i'll probably heroic my existing lvl 80 paladin to 85. She has about 2200 AA now, so maybe 6000 when heroiced? This will be great as the shaman/paladin combo will be able to camp for that clicky shield from that one underfoot zone pretty effectively... well, I'm hoping, anyway. There's an 80 necro on the shaman's account that I will bring up to 85 with the newly heroiced necro, that should be much quicker.

I've used 4 heroics so far (3 of my own accounts, 1 for a friend who probably wont ever play again, but if he does I'm sure he'll be happy).

Necromancer 73-85, Cleric 65-85, and Magician 20-85 (Yay for free pet toys). My friends account only had a Warrior which he had got to 67, so not its 85. Maybe I'll use it (I dont know his password though, so I could never switch it to another pc). Oh well free heroics!

I believe this is the case. On my F2P account, it is a Drakkin Bard. I am entitled to a veteran reward according to the login message, but because veteran rewards are AA's I can't get it. I also cannot progress with the Drakkin Breath weapon quest. They are AA's as well and although I can get the quest, do the turn ins, I get no increase in the ability. As well, on the completion of every single quest, I get a message regarding the 250 AA level cap, every quest and XP to AA is turned off.

I created a new Heroic SK, so the AA count should be similar to a Pally. The AA count was 5518 for the SK.

For other Heroics, the ranger got 5530, the cleric 4922, and the mage got 4614.

I created a Mage and a Necro on my 2 Gold accounts. I then Created a Bard and Wizard and a Shaman on the Silver accounts I had. I noticed the AA amount varied greatly between them. For instance the Shaman has almost 6000 AA..... while the Casters are like 4k. So far this is really been fun, and I love getting the J5 mercs so easy... I was dreading having to do the Quest chain to get them normally. This fast Heroic quest was great.

I'm on Test and already had a 91 Druid, 94 Paladin, 90 Shadowknight and 89 Bard, so I went with Mage, Wizard, Beastlord, Shaman, Ranger, and Berserker to try out those classes. Tried out a Necro, too, but deleted.

Of them, I thought the DPS on the Berserker was amazing. The Wizard and Mage were underwhelming considering how much I've heard about how overpowered they are.

Took the team of the Berserker, Ranger and Shaman down to Brell's Rest to camp the AC aug there. The Ranger ended up taking, actually, because the J5 tank was eaten before the J5 cleric would heal him (and there was a kerfuffle where I thought I had done the J5 quest on the shaman with the tank but hadn't so the J1 merc died almost instantly on a pull before I realized what happened). I didn't block any heals though, so part of it was that. Eventually got a rotation down that wasn't too bad. One thing that made a huge difference was that the Shaman can at least do some Crowd Control in addition to slowing/dotting/buffing with their Virulent whatever AA. The Ranger did pretty well tanking (I have a great set of AC augs from my Firiona Vie days that I testcopy over with new characters), actually. But only one or two at a time. World a difference from my Paladin who tanked three or more mobs down there when I was getting his AC aug (along with my Druid and Bard).
