If im searching for a specific loc on the map i normally make a /loc hot key. That helps a ton when looking for a specific loc on the map....some of the maps may have a loc grid on it, but im not sure if there is a way to have an open location window that constantly shows your loc....Best bet without much effort is to make a hot key and put it on your hot bar....

You can also use Find (Ctrl+F) in some zones to find zone lines and certain NPCs, and the Map window search to search the map files labels.

It's good to have a good set of maps to start with and I generally use layer 3 (*_3.txt filename) for custom labels as most mapfiend maps use layer 2 for labels and they can become cluttered, and you can turn off layer 2 visibility and just see the labels important to you.

/loc hotkey used to be manditory to navigate or to mark the spot in your log so you could find your corpse later.

Make a hot key like

/loc

and just link it to the same key u use for forward movement. You will get a loc every time you move forward.

huh? give you some advice on what? see normally 1st time posters with links to outside website dont get very far....
