I finally got past holiday and renovation (for now...) enough to get some time in game.

Took my monk from 32-40 mostly in Dawnshroud. I believe I am now an instinctive racial enemy to the Zelniaks.

Presently contemplating if the monk is a sit at 52 for some Vox/Naggy play type of character or shoot higher and dungeon crawl at 60-65 type.

Not feeling very druid motivated at all for the present.

Anyone do anything more interesting than that? (as my story isn't particularly anything rofl).

Got some solo time in on my Drinal BL. Working on Hero's Journey progression and completely flumoxed at how at lvl 41 my BL even with Merc is going to take out the Tower Guardian.

So I said the hell with it and popped over to Dulak's Harbor to solo entrance mobs. Was completely amazed at how much easier they are with just the defiant gear - didn't try molo'ing them as I wanted to get a better feel for capabilities.

Switched over to my SK that just dinged 51 and ground out some AA -- damn that bonus is sweet.

Nothing real exciting -- trying to motivate to work some LDoNs on my box toon and just can't bring myself to do so.

Did some dailies and a lod burn on my pally. Got another 10% of a level and some AAs. I'm right at the point where my current hunting spots are starting to fade, but are still worth it. I'm basically hitting HoS and blasting through the villagers/fishermen sans merc. It's fun as hell. I've been dipping my toes into HoT undead hunting spots, but boy do they hit a lot harder.

I'd forgotten that I went on a "why not see if I can gather epic bits" spree on my wiz last time I was on, and had camped in Phinny's room. Popped on. There's Phinny. Nuke, and dead. And he had the damn wizzy staff first time! WTF. That never happens for me. Now I guess I have to go through with the rest of the quest since I've got one of the pieces. Sigh...

Lol Grats. I had exactly that happen on my 2nd enchanter (fell into one of the hardest 1.0 bits by chance first when I wasn't even thinking of doing it).

Spent all of last Saturday in the hospital with my girlfriend and the balance of the weekend monitoring her and making sure she kept up her blood sugar level with good healthy food. EQ has sort of dropped by the wayside this last month and a half. If the gods are compassionate, then maybe will get to have some leisure activities soon.

I'm not going to be able to play anymore because of stupid amounts of work.

I'm back to in school on my final semester finishing up my thesis, I also have to do a ton of video editing for work, and to top it all off one of my friends decided that it's time to start our own business, and I'm just drowning in work!

It's going to be a very busy year =_=

Agreed.

The mutants may be in a quiet mode atm, but there isn't going to be a rage-disbanding or anything.

Didn't do much, if anything, that weekend. Weekend or two before, finished up updating all Bard AAs up to the current expansion. Finished off all the Wiz AAs this weekend (Jan 20th). Time to pick another class to work on.

I spent the last two weeks getting back into the swing of things having left the game in 2006. Many, many changes to assimilate. Thanks to the gods for the tutorial.

WB Ssarrs. Same here, I got back in Aug of 2013 after roughly a 6 year hiatus myself. There's a lot of changes that left me feeling like an anachronism -- "why back in my day we fought uphill -- both directions -- in banded armour with rusty daggers through our Hell Levels and we were thankful for those rusty daggers!".

I think the best advice I could give is go ahead and do the Hero's Journey for a bit -- it really provides a good path for getting reaquainted with skills, techniques, etc

Probably the oddest thing of late for me to get used to is the modifier for AA gain.

Yes, the tutorials are great to refresh the memory as well as learn new things. I was in a high end raiding guild back in the day and relish reliving those highs and lows.
