I have two laptops one using amd core A4-5000 1.5 ghz quad core and other one AMD A4-4300M 2.5 ghz dual core. Norton says both whenever playing eq are using high cpu usage, both have 4 gigs of ram over 200 gig of hard drive space free, ran complete virus scan, ran ccleaner and defrag both.

Not sure which version of Norton you have but, I am almost certain that that message is changeable within Norton's "Miscellaneous settings" section, then within that group there is a "Performance Monitoring" section with a sub section called "High Usage Alerts" . within that there are CPU alerts, memory alerts and other sub categories.

Disabling that alert should solve the problem imo..

Good Luck.
