I'm Mystro, Klehpto and Uinseann (The lurking Defiant clad Warrior). The latter char was needed to allow the possible completion of the Vah Shir Sonic Wolf Bane weapon quest. Alas, poor Klehpto is having all kinds of difficulties getting his drops. I did the Rogue part back in 2002 with my Tunare (7th Hammer!!) based char and don't remember anywhere this kind of difficulty. The drops were easier and the mobs way more plentiful back then.

I spent $10.00 for Sony Cash and used that for my char transfer, it's a hell of a lot easier. I think it cost me 1250 SC for it and I had to rename my shaman.

I think the reason it was cheaper, they had a sale going on for services over the weekend. Not sure if they extended it or not...
it was 1250 SC for a transfer on the weekend Im guessing its 2500 now. >.<

It was super easy tho, at first, i didnt think it would happen instantly, but it it did. once i selected server, it auto logged me off. Logged back in and the character was transferred. Super convienient now. I remember when transfers had to go into a queue and you'd wait a while to move a character. Glad they've improved it.

Well, keep in mind what we're doing as well. I don't know what a lvl 90 monk would do on Luclin or why someone would want one dressed in Luclin era gear.

Aye... the fun stage one of Lunar Madness is going to peak around level 65. We're still a ways from critical mass in the guild requiring a discussion about what a stage two could be. (as there is lots to do 55-60 and no one is really there yet).

I think presently, we're a great place for a fresh start. A lot of us have chosen classes we don't know or haven't played in ages to make it fresher. We can easily support someone through the low levels if they want to push that --by the time a character is into the 40s there is lots of grouping possibilities. We're starting to hit zones that are too hard to solo/molo with some combos, so that's a good challenge too.

I keep being tempted to do drive by buffs on you guys. But you're waaaaaay out on the moooooooon. Spotted you guys in Akheva Monday night, which brought back memories of one particularly spectacular train I caused in that zone once. Yes. Fear a paladin with a map and compass and no clue where the hell he's going.

My wife says that is my normal mode of driving in rl. ;-)

You could always do drive-by buffs on my necro, he's rarely on the moon. I wouldn't complain.

Hey everyone. I am a long time EQ player. I have played several classes into the 80's, and 90's on a few different servers. I am to the point where I have zero direction or goals in the game. This guild catches my eye as it looks like it could breathe new life into EQ for me while bringing back what originally drove me to play, which is grouping with real people. I haven't ever played on Cazic, but I am willing to start from scratch to play with a fun group of people. I made a Dark Elf Rogue on Cazic named Krime. Please send me a tell when you get a chance. I would love to join. =)

I'm curious as to what hours people are normally on. At the moment, there is nobody on that I can find. I wouldn't normally be online until a few hours from now. I have the day off work today.

Active hours are primarily in the evenings (Eastern-Central time, mostly, though I tink we have some Western zone players).

Good to see a few more faces in the mutants lately! Smiley: cool

My weird wizard/monk combo is starting to face serious difficulties in luclin! Its so tough. Its just about impossible to play them together as a duo since the monk has no aggro, and practically no tank. I remember back before the monk nerf, monks were doing great in luclin, were able to take on blues no problem. Mine has troubles with light blues, its risky. Life just drapes right off of her, takes lots of damage.
Along with a wizard nuking away taking all the aggro, i have to resort to mercs to kill somethings. in groups, they work fine together though.
Will keep using the monk for some more damage and bodies but i wont have problems dropping her for more mutants.

As far as mutants go, i'm working hard on my tradeskills on Valk to make things for the mutants. my tailoring is getting into the 120's and i recently grinded my smithing into the 110's range. I can make a few things here and there for people. Im on the lookout for Crude or better, silks and hides. Both are useful for my skilling. I had to run to velious to grab some silk to do more skillups, but i've reached close to the trivials on that stuff now.
Im going to work hard at my armoring to see if i can make the ol'famous Luclin armors and leathers. The Acrylia stuff is really neat but hard to make and get the materials. Time to use up them blocks of acrylia!

Theres people on every night, sometimes theres enough for a group sometimes not, it depends on the activity. leveling is slowing down with aa's around 50 and 55. 55 feels like its going to take a while! Smiley: nod

Jhenni hit 60 last night so she's topped out and doing AA's until/unless we decide to want to push it further (either in content or leveling past 60). I've got a twink cleric I started on a second account but haven't really tried PLing her yet aside from throwing a damage shield on her and letting her run around Shadeweavers.

Would love to give the UP mini-bosses (Tawro, Radir, etc) a try soon if we have a solid group running.

Hey,

This guild sounds awesome. I haven't played EQ in ages and basically consider myself a noob again. I don't box or anything so are there any classes I should stay away from as I level up? Velious/Luclin/PoP is when I really played the game and miss trucking around on the moon. Thanks.

Edit: Started a mage named Fenlibus.

Welcome back!

Anything you find fun to play will be viable. Warrior/Paladin is possibly the most painful grind if you true solo solo thanks in part to the terrible gear we are aspiring to earn. All melee is still more difficult due to lack of decent weapons, but we are starting to get better drops so it is much more efficient to do 1-40 now than when we started this.

A warrior merc will carry any class to 60 no problem. 60 is presently above most of the guild (I haven't been in game for a couple of days... we had 1 level 60 and several late 50s on the weekend, with a pack of others spread in all ranges below that)

Mage is one of the most rewarding classes in this style... since you can annihilate stuff without it taking forever. My druid (as I learn to play it) is good at patient killing.

Seven of us killed Spirit of Tawro last night Smiley: smile Was a "close" fight in that we were all scraping the bottom of the mana barrel by the end but no one died. In that fight, anyway, we had a couple deaths working our way in. Anyway, was good times and I'm sure we'll be hitting Tawro and Radir as often as we have the numbers on for it.
