I can't imagine a reason why boxed alts wouldn't be acceptable. Several people already have alts in the guild, whether or not they're played simultaneously shouldn't matter.

Boxed alts would be great, we're sometimes low on people for groups. Having your own rag and tag crew would be great and people could join in if they are the right level range. The more the merrier ~

Normally, I'm a boxer myself but im taking a break from it to focus on one-char. its kinda weird for me but i like the simplicity. I find myself doing all sorts of different things on one char, like crafting, or exploring and doing odd quests. I'm starting to understand how weak one character solo is. I like the handicap tho, i have to come up with modified strategies for doing things solo. As well as doing things at much higher a level than a group would in order to manage it. I may add a second to two box but no higher (2 monitors works best for only 2 this way).

Come to think of it, when luclin was current there were a lot more groups. having some box groups around with in-era characters leveling would be a nice change. there would be groups at various level ranges and in various places on luclin for anyone wanting to group up. Some content is way easier to manage with a multiple people around. Plus, without mercs but with the TSS era out of combat regen some smaller group concepts have been possible, with a bit of waiting for HP here and there.

We really need more healers, we've got a bunch of warriors on the up and up coming but there are only a few healers.

Feel free to box. Any characters a person wants to play "in the concept" are welcome. We're not even labelling "alts" in the guild. Yenwangweh is Yenwangweh is....

We're rather bullish on Lesser Caps of Health after we had four drop last night and had to leave another to rot due to Lore tags. We're considering making it the official hat of the guild. Anyway, if anyone needs one ask around or check the guild bank. Not sure if any have been deposited yet (mine is still on me).

Felicite the Necromancer on FV spent some time living in Shar Vahl. She was the daughter of a middle class merchant family in Neriak who used their savings to get my sister Furia into the Temple and myself into the Lodge of the Dead. Because of my merchant background I've always RPed as a centrist, jihad is not good for business, and I was generally live and let live with the "good" races (I do say "generally".. I killed my share of lesser races). And from a young age I spent a lot of time on the Moon, Luclin, because of it's more liberal race relations. In fact Felicite is a Citizen of Shar Vahl, she has sworn fealty to King Raja Kerrath and he welcomed her as a citizen (the note to Registrar Bindarah was tradeable on FV although back then I needed another paid account make the temporary level 1 Var).

Anyway, on topic. I spent a lot of time in Shar Vahl, I used to know it was well as Neriak. So it's fun doing it again with Felicite, a young Var hoping to prove worthy of entry to the Khati Sha. Right now I am still in my 5th season and trying to earn my Khati Sha Recruit Cloak and my first Claws - Jophiel is right, Tailoring is an entirely different activity when your stats aren't capped (much like kicking yourself in the privates over and over). I found this blurb of lore which gave me a framework:

Quote:
The Khati Sha have a mysterious and very spiritual background. Much like their namesake-- the celebrated explorer, the Khati Sha are expected to be able to fill a multifaceted role. They are hunters, explorers, healers, and amazing tailors. The Khati Sha also have a strong affinity to the realm of spirits and choose their members based on their innate ability to bond and communicate with magical creatures called Warders. After some training, the Khati Sha are capable of summoning their Warder to their side, so do not be surprised when you see these creatures roaming the streets.

I love exploring. I expect to stay on Luclin full time (much like Broonsbane I might dip into New Tanaan to buy spells that aren't available on Luclin). Looking at the list of zones ( https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/zone.html?zcont=Luclin ), I can't wait.

I've always enjoyed tradeskills (I made Misty Thicket Picnics back in the 'Old' interface), so Tailoring is another great goal. Reading about the DoN cultural gear makes me lust (considering my current rags), but I'm good with the Luclin era gear limit (which DoN Cultural clearly isn't).

Right now I am running with the hired Khala Dun (tank mercenary) but once I master summoning my warder I plan to release him from service (as much as I can).

My play time is limited and sometimes odd (I think I've played an hour so far this week) and I've not run into any members of <Lunar Mutant Rights Now> "in person" (I've seen a few in /who all - but far away and I didn't expect them to trek to Shar Vahl nor was I ready to trek to the far side of Luclin for a guild invite). I hope to cross paths eventually.

Happy to see you like tradeskills. We Vah Shir have a very interesting quest line requiring all 5 original classes to participate. I am Mystro, well into the Bard Pottery quest line, but also dabbling in tailoring and brewing. Now we need a War and a Rog. If nobody else is interested, then I may roll them as alts just to do the quests.

my Vah shir shaman is doing brewing as well, and the shaman quest lines. This young dar khura is looking forward to finding the young khati sha to quest with Smiley: sly

Some of the quest lines take a very long time, its time-consuming and slows down lvling for sure. I do tailoring with the wizard, but she cannot contribute to the vah shir only questlines. Doing some smithing here and there too, as money permits. Might save some money and try to make some banded armor Smiley: smile

The sonic wolf bane questline is cool , but the components required to make the weapons are tough. The weapons themselves are really lackluster. However, in order to get your vah shir journeyman cloak you must complete the sonic wolf bane portion of the quest, in order to move onto cloak #5 and cloak #6.

I can bind and port pretty handily now (on my druid Denth) around Luclin so I don't mind skipping into Shar Vahl or wherever. Odds are someone else will catch you on, as my playtime has been way less this last bit though due to work.

Great that you're on the moon though. I love the sig in the quote Smiley: nod

You are not kidding about the slow! The majority of what I have done from level 2->6.8 is hunt shadeling silk and do combines to get the handwraps. My tailoring started last night at 21 and I did four of the final handwrap combines (which takes 12 shadeling silk without failures.. and I usually fail on the bandages at least once.. which eats 4 shadeling silk). I think I have at least 10 tries total by now, I am starting to think Animist Poren is punking me!

Thank you for the silk last night (it made one of the four attempts) and the hopper armor! Maybe I stop being obsessive (which is hard for me).. and go exploring with the capable Dar Khura. =)

Also thank you to the Hollowshade folks for the sexy cape. I wish I had waited to see if Rhaah was going to make it, but I will get good use out of it.

Rhaah thank Rallos that you were able to get that cape. He was blessed earlier in the night with an amazing weapon that he is putting to great use...Smiley: sly

I am TERRIBLE at tradeskills or even knowing what is needed. As I have altitis already....Smiley: grin ,maybe we could put a list of things people need for these tradeskills, especially hard to get things or things they need a lot of, so we can all help and put that stuff in the guild bank. Be glad to contribute...

Oh, and Jhenni, Val and my dwarf Pali friend were stomping Grimlings last night ( which is a favorite pastime Smiley: sly )and even killing some nobility with some amazing pulls....you guys ROCK!!!!!

Most of the items required for the Vah Shir class and progression quests are unfortunately NODROP. Especially the later ones for the Bane weps.

Everyone should grab a Fellowship Registration Insignia from Randall of the Fellows.in the building next to the PoK Nexus stone.

1) The standard free portal '''Fellowship of Honor''' campfire lasts 6 hours.
2) At least three people in your fellowship must be within melee range if each other when setting a campfire.
3) You cannot use the campfire to port into certain keyed / raid areas.
4) You may only change leaders of the fellowship when in close proximity of the registration NPC(?).
5) Fellowship chat channel command is /fs.
6) Sharing experience with offline members may be toggled on and off.

click for the comment thread.

The basic portal campfire is free, campfires with mods range in cost from a few gold to a few hundred plat. The Fellowship leader can now invite anyone, not in another fellowship, as long as they are in the same zone and the leader has them targeted (doesn't have to be next to each other, seems to work zonewide).

Well, we might as well get you the owl sword too.

Grimling prince also drops Grimling Breastplate which is pretty nice for those that can use it, living on the moon and such.
