As I recall there is at least 1 raid encounter where the mob casts an aoe that can be resisted with a high alcohol tolerance. There may be more, but I don't know of anything in the last few expansions that needs it. On the other hand, if you plan to go drinking in Kelethin (wood elf tree city) you might want high alcohol tolerance. :)
