I am about to hit 51 and i was just wondering if anyone had a Link to a site with a pure DPS rogue aa build. I found a few posts but none of the really specified where points should go first and or how to get Assassination.

Other than run 3 there really isn't much you can buy at 51 with AA points. Most of the really good AA's require considerably higher lvl. At 55 you can start getting AA's to help with critical strikes I think.

What I always get, no matter class, and a few that others do the same the way, that I don't always get (depends on class).

At 51, Always:
Innate Run Speed 3
Innate Regeneration 3
Mystical Attuning 1
Origin 1 - At 5th level now and it's free.

Sometimes:
Battle Ready ?
Quick Draw ?
Innate Metabolism 3
New Tanaan Crafting Mastery ?

At 55, Always:
Combat Agility 3
Natural Durability 3
Combat Stability 1
Mnemonic Retention 1
Mystical Attuning 2
EDIT: Weapon Affinity 5 or 6 forget how many you can get at 55. Rank 5 will give you an addition innate 50 proc mod, so assuming you don't have any other proc mods (Combat Effects, innate weapon or aug proc mod, etc.) you'll get 50% more procs in the same time period on average. This is pretty significant with the new poisons that do several 1000s damage per proc. As a rogue, this is will significantly increase your aggro though, unless you use some hate reduction procs as well, or evade alot.

EDIT 2: Rog specific:
Combat Fury 3

Sometimes:
Combat Stability 3

At 59, Always:
Physical Enhancement 1
EDIT 2: Ambidexterity 1
Chaotic Stab 1
Escape 1 - Although not a DPS AA, it's very useful.

Sometimes:
Foraging 1
Poison Mastery 1 - Or any other tradeskill mastery

Then for class-specific, see the Rogue AA page and sort by Type and/or Subtype and look for Offensive Type and Amount, Melee Amount, or Melee Swings for Subtype. All of those should be DPS-focused AAs.

Rog FAQ: http://teir-dal.tripod.com/id47.html based on SafeHouse forum posts.

Assassinate, the skill, is automatically gained at level 60. AAs then extend the level of mobs it works on.

Yther Ore.

Yther's got it.

There's very little you have to have at 51, 55, 59... even 65. But, there is some real nice things along the way. At some point it pays (in my view) to pile on some AA. The AA Yther mentions are the core ones to getting more AA effectively at a given level (i.e., keep piling on the combat agility as you can with the levels... is my view).

Others will tell you to level up to max then AA. If you have pals to group with and don't mind you being weak for the content (ineffective practically if you have next to no AA) then that can work. You can also live in monster missions until you get the AA I suppose.

I know the thread is old but it comes up on top when you Google Weapon Affinity and Rogue poisons.

Weapon Affinity does not affect Rogue poison proc rate. Only the Virulent Venom AA at lv 65 does that.
