After many months of grinding DoN's and MM's, I’m finally at a point where I feel comfortable that I can start going to places like MPG and maybe even some DoDH missions. The thing is I’ve never been able to get into a group for any of these zones. So my question is, where the heck do people meet? Should I just run over to MPG and sit there on LFG? How about for the spell missions? Do people just sit in Stoneroot Falls?
Another question is, would I be able to contribute to the group? I’m 70 pally, around 10k hp and 1780ac fully buffed with 250aa’s.
I'm on Povar and would really like to start taking part in this content and to have an opportunity to continue improving my gear. Thanks in advanced,

well this doesn't really answer your question, but as long as you can get two others to join you (just so you can get a mission) you can easily solo the Sabotage mission (starts in Stoneroot).

I would use you to tank them most every night of the week. If you were on FV. =/
To answer your other question, I know I "start" them in the Guild Hall pool.. buff.. and transport to Undershore.
I expect other people use the /LFG tool?

We tend to use 8K/250 unbuffed as a general guideline, so you're right there.
I normally hear of these through my guild on Povar. There are also several channels you can join to get the news. Have you checked the Saturday morning open groups sesions? We have a couple of alliance channels where these things are set up, since my guild is rather small to do some things on our own (Tier 2/3 type family guild).
Ask around, your guild must have a similar setup. If you're unguilded, join one. There are several family type guilds that would love to use your talents.

There really is no one location that folks congregate for DoD missions because they start in different zones. As far as MPG goes, yeah you can sit at ZL and /ooc.

You could try sitting in Undershore at the Free Traders camp or the Prophet's tent (both safe areas) and /OCCing. There are soloable collection tasks you could do in the Undershore at the same time (that improve your Free Traders faction). But most of the time, by the time we are passing through Undershore we have six group.

Well, im my case we got a great Core group from my guild and worked to get everyone up to Par, so I usually run these places with them.
But (on MS anyways) /ooc LFG in MPG just doesnt work...it is usually met with Silence. On the few occasions I am LFG there I will invis and do drive-bys on the standard camp locales, count the peeps there and if thee seems to be a spot open I will ask nicely in a tell, but never in the middle of a fight.
Seems to work for me, and if they say no or are full, I buff em anyways.

I sit in Guild Hall with LFG up. easy to get anywhere (worth while) from there.
I haven't been able to log on for the past few days on a consistent basis due to isp problems but will try during the weekend to see if your suggestions help and my luck changes.
