Now that it takes days to have a petition answered I would do this:
Camp. If you cant sit and camp, /quit. You will seldom come back stuck in the geometry. Alternative is to camp and wait 6 hours and use go-home feature. If you are under level 10 go to tutorial right away.

The stuck character room has been moderated for several weeks now and the GMs dont't respond to tells. Good luck.

Just out of curiosity, anyone know WHY they have a chat room with the obvious purpose of fixing a problem moderated so that it almost can't be used?

I'll probably get a bunch of SOE customer service sucks comments, and no doubt Sony deserves every one of them, but I'm hoping for actual enlightenment.

Luckily, I'm apparently one of the lucky ones (in a warped kind of way). One of the computers I play EQ on regularly has a problem zoning and/or camping in that, instead of dropping me to the character select screen on my server it takes me all the way back to the server select screen and then tells me I already have a guy in the game. The lucky part is, for the most part, every time I have gone into the stuckcharacter chat room I have been able to get the GM in the room to kick my toon for me. It is a pain, though, that the room is moderated and I have to "tell" him/her instead of just chatting in the room.

Just what the hell is up with a chat room you can't chat in?

I have no idea and nobody I talk to knows either. Nor has anyone been able to find a post from SOE about it.

If I had to guess I would say it has something to do with the CS being outsourced over seas. The only time I got a response from a GM in the chat rooms the response had nothing to do with the question I asked and the way it was worded I would have to say it was read/typed from a script sitting in front of the guy.

i know that when like all the servers had that bug a while back and they gave like the 5 minuet warning everyone was so pissed off of about it i mean middle of the day raids and shi^ going on full groups being broken up and the chat rooms were seriously overloaded and gm's wer just really getting hammered in tells, chat, whatever they could do to yell and whine about it..

i my self was doing an epic 1.5 turn in so i didn't really care servers went down, but since then servers have been moderated.

my answer to why i bet some gm's got pissed and quit and now they have like 1-2 gm's working in the chat area and can't handle all of the crap they normally get so the ask you to use in game petition.

just a thought as to what happened.

i mean if you honestly think about it i don't think those guys get paid. i think they just get to play the game for free and get GM title and get to do really cool stuff.

and some of them just finally got sick of the excessive whining and ******** about the game they said F&^$ this and quit.

Ah, that would require WAY too much expertise. I bet it's more like an automated menu where they pick from a list and it automatically gives you the canned answer. Pick a number and move on to the next call.
