my bro was a beta test ,,,i found this fine game in 2003 but i only had 56k at that time then got a broadband hook up and downloaded the freebe eq ,that you get as a sony viao owner ,didnt know anything about the game .lol i was a ture noob ,,lost my corpse in bb and didnt even know what shadow heven was ,didnt even understad pok ,BUT,after i learned i was hooked on eq 1 .3 years now ,even got my bro back into playing

i joined in 2000 on a differant account then deleted that accnt and got my toon i have now like may 2003.

Just because everyone else is giving their history:

I started at the end of phase 2 beta (on someone else's account.. shhh)He came into a store I was managing, and we were talking about an upcoming game I wanted to try called EQ, and mentioned that he was testing it. Think it was summer of 98?
Got my own CD for phase 3 shortly later.

Started in June, 2000. First character I tried was a Half Elf Ranger. Got him lost and killed in the caves of Surefall and abandoned him after a day or so.

Next character was an Erudite Cleric. Got him up to around level 8 and lost his corpse to a shark in the harbour of Erud. Combined with the very poor hunting, at that time, in Toxx forest, I eventually abandoned the character.

Played a human Monk, and dwarven Paladin (I still have both in the low 50's) before settling on a halfling druid which I play more than any other.

Guess I'll throw some of my historey in here. My wife started trying to get me to play soon after we married in
september 2000. But, since I'm a very poor typist, as anyone who has tried to read any of my posts can tell, I refused to even try it. She sort of forced my hand by buying me the game and getting an account in my name for Valentine's 2001. Created my first character as Halfling Druid - he was born in the cave in Rivervale and although he was supposed to be able to see in the dark, my gamma was messed up and I ran him into the water ouside of the cave and he was killed by a trout before he was 5 minutes old. Deleted and rerolled him and he is now a 66 Druid who basicaly sits on the shelf as we develope new characters. Between us, my wife and I have 5 accounts with a total of 40 characters on The Rathe.

We play on the average of 3 hours every night and about a total of 10 hours on weekends when we aren't involved in anything else.

Oh, and we are in our 60's - rather do something that requires a little thought than watch the trash on TV.

March 2004....I started on Morden Rasp with a Vah Shir Warrior that lasted all of a three days. Then made a froglok paladin and never looked back. Took a six month vacation in March of 2005 and came back two months ago.

Came over from UO at the urging of a friend in 1999. Made a human paladin who couldn't see a thing at night. Formed a in 2000 on Tarew Marr. Left with the server split to the newly formed Xev. Reformed my guild there. Survived the server merger with Druzzil Paladin still being played and still running the same guild to this day.

I started in Sept of 2001. Couple of friends got me to start. I played a DE necro from the very beggining until about 4 months ago. Playing around with a halfelf bard now. I have taken a few breaks here and there, longest being a year(deployment). Still here though, still addicted.

Well my friend so it to me about 3 years ago, and let me play on his a little. After that I had to ahve it. I had a slow computer but I thought it might work. So I went out and bought Evolution, then I try to install it and it didn't work.

So I held on to it for a couple years until I finaly got a computer to play it. So I've only been playing about a year.

I first joined just before Luclin came out, which I believe was sometime in 2001. Good times back then. Played a druid so I could port, then played a rogue who is now my main.

2000, when my mum got into it. i made a half elf pally, lol.. never got too far with that, mostly because my mum played alot. then we went off game for awhile. then, about a year ago <time passes fast...lol) i started up again after my mum re-bought EQ platinum. i made a bst, because that was the last toon i tried before we quit. i hate bst. LOL then i converted an alt, linkdeath into my main and here i am.
lol now my mum tells me to play her toon X-D lol she watches me play and says 'i can play druid better' yet i've got that druid up the last 20 levels.. wheateva.
i rekon from being a pally that's why i like tanks so much.. tho pally arent really what i like to call tank..morel ike prissy little do-gooders..
