My ultimate goal is to control all shipping lanes in the Abyssmal Sea.

Since that probably wont happen, I think what Id really like is to get my Warrior high enough to tank in the Omens of War zones, to get the uber upgrades there. I might get my epic, also.

As for me, I guess I'd like to see my first toon to the endgame. She's over 2 years old and only level 48 and NOT my main, but one can always imagine.

I have been doing it 4 years and my main is 68, had a couple toons up to 30's I discarded first, but I am really slow. Just want to enjoy game.

I also seem to keep weird hours or something, things seem to happen after I log off, so I miss pretty much everything.

Got several goals:

1. Ding 60 on my Beastlord and get his epic 1.0, whatever comes first.
2. Participate in a guild raid for the first time.
3. Get all my other toons to at least 20.
4. Do the bunch of quests I found here on Alla and printed out during the last two years.
5. Get for each tradeskill at least one toon to master.

Those are no ultimate goals, though... I don't think there is one for me on EVERquest...

I don't even know anymore. Does that mean I have a problem?

It probably means that you spend a lot less time in-game, which is a good thing. Goals, especially one's that you're really into at the time, usually inspire obsessive gaming. Not with everyone, of course, but they were certianly my downfall.

Funny enough, as a heavy raider (I really don't play EQ but to raid every night, honestly), I pretty much have the same response as other folks. Just have fun with my friends. While yeah, I wanna kill Mayong Mistmoore and blah blah, that kind of thing doesn't really matter to me except that it's with friends.

When I think back on the memorable things I've done in EQ, they are almost all funny little moments with my friends, not the serverwide firsts I've lead- that stuff is cool but really not that big a deal in the scheme of things.

my goals in EQ are as follows in order

1. Enjoy playing
2. Get 2 charicters too the highest level (i'm sure they'll rise the bar as soon as i get close)
3. Complete the Coldain Shawl quest
4. Get Time flagged eventually, don't really care much about other zone flags but time would be nice because of the structure of it all.
5. find a good guild that raids reletively end game stuff without being ********* about makeing you raid all the damn time.

The main reason my pally isn't 70 is because when he got into a raiding guild they never let him XP when he was on, so he got stuck at 62 and never progressed before the level cap got raised, it pissed me off so much i stopped playing him.

This is why I really enjoy my guild. We raid 4 nights a week and the other nights is for xp, or whatever we want to do. It's fun because I don't get burned out on just raiding or just grinding xp. I get to play with friends and like minded people. They also believe that RL > EQ If something comes up I can deal with it and still come back to the guild a week or even months later.

This game shouldn't be like a job. If it gets to that point it's not a game anymore. Our raids are a lot like our groups fun times and kicking *** at the same time. We get serious and focus when we need to be but overall it's pretty laid back.

Wield a Morguecaller.

Those who have seen it or at least know what it is already know how much it entails.

I recall a conversation in guild about this. It seems there is a weapon that is pretty close or similar to the Morguecaller that is easier to obtain. That was like a week ago and I forget what it was now.

Mostly, I just want to see all the content.

By that I mean at times when said content does in fact challenge and enthrall me. I don't want to go to Crushbone at level 70 and just wipe the floor with the whole dungeon, I want to get a group at level 12 or 13 and fight my way through the castle and the mines.

Unfortunately, not much of this is possible anymore given population situations.

On my main, I just wanted to be a good tank. After time passed, and my character had no chance at tanking any place that could get me some where, I gave up and started building a necro. I just want plat now.

My goal is simple. To have fun while my toon progresses and become more powerful.

I want everyone to get there goal while i try and get mine.

Mine is to win the GOD expansion. Atm we are in ikky. We just came form Time and have 80%+ of the guild dressed up in time gear. We farmed time for about 6-8 months. Every chance we had we would go to time.

Thats my ULTIMATE GOAL! :)

About 6 months ago I had only acheived my goal of 70 and EP Time.

My original goals were to get 70... after i had done so, came EP ... never thought I would get too Time, but that was done as well.

My goals have been forever changing as I progress... Now it's to get Qvic flagged. However this may prove difficult as I am now in a Tacvi/Anguish DS guild, who I doubt will be flagging anytime soon. Have been getting gimped into Qvic/Txevu/Tacvi, but I really want to work for the flag myself. I guess I'll hold off for now, until the pickup crowd on the server is of level to begin the trials. For now though that is my only goal... well, that and to gear up a little better to break 14k unbuffed. I don't think that will take too long either. I'm still relatively new with my guild, but have received alot of help from them up to now, and they have changed the game's atmosphere for me.
