Has anyone seen King Xorbb up in the last 3 months? I camped him for a ridilous amount of time over a 5 week period (mostly semi-afk 4 saturdays in a row while I did RL stuff in the room --so I am not completely insane).
While having maxed out Runnyeye faction and 140 pieces of heavy clay (and only looted about half the time I killed) is nice... I really just wanted the slime crystal staff.
I even called in some friends and we kept the zone clear of mobs on track (killling them as they popped) for an hour. I have now killed every named in the gorge except Qlei and Xorbb at least twice.
I do realize the staff, the quest it is used for, and just the idea of killing Xorbb would seem a waste to most. Knowing that someone running through caught him up would be nice though.

try pettitioning sometimes mobs pop under the world, or get bugged, stay away from his spawn area just pull his ph if there is any
As far as I know, he does not exist anymore. His drops should now drop from the EE prisoners inside runny but!!! having killed them a couple of 100 times I still need to see Xxorb drops
He still spawns .. just is very rare.
Haven't looked for him recently but if memory serves me he's on a 6-8 hour timer.

I got him a couple weeks ago. Dont bother camping his throne area (the little valley with the big stone Y). Reading posts on where people saw him, it was obvious his placeholder is a wandering mob. Keep clearing the wandering mobs in the roads outside the throne room. You'll get Evil Eye wanderers, kill those as well, those just mean the random number generator didnt hit the 'jackpot' number. Will take a while, he's rare.
