Well I finally got the maps downloaded to my EQ files and it seems to have worked, BUT , the outlines of each of the downloaded maps are a pale blue. It makes them very hard to see especially if you are running scared !!! .

Is there a way to darken the maps , I tried all the settings that are available when you click the compass thingy at the bottom of the Maps menu.

The trick is to right click your map and change the opacity to 0% and make your map see-thru.

That way the pale colours stand out nice and vibrant and it doesn't obscure your view when running scared.

And you can change the background too so before the fade out, you can have the background darker. I half the time run with it open and 10% opacity, being so easily lost.

You can also select the entire map and change the line color. I change my to black then do as Nohk says so I can see it all well.

I went on last night to try these hints but they didn't help.

When I 'right click' on the map I get 5 options :

Background>texture
Alpha>tint and color
Lock
Minimize
Close

None of these offer opacity change.

What am I doing wrong ? Sorry to be a pest but I want it to work.

change alpha to 0 to have your map background disappear when your mouse cursor leaves it. When you hover back over, it will reappear.
