Mana for Non Raiding DruidFollow

I keep looking at my Druid's magelo, checking out what my stats currently are, vs. what I will one day be, based upon current gear, and no subsequent gear changes.

Yeah, I know, as I play more, I'm gonna start getting a lot of No Drop stuff, and my Wis is going to adjust based upon when I start getting some more AA's (waiting until 60 before starting the massive grind, still trying to get to class specific.)

So I guess the question is, for a level 70 non-raiding druid, is 4800 mana points acceptable?

I thought there was some formula for this, like AC is determined by level x 25 = acceptable AC.

Anyone out there give me a hand?

For reference, the Magelo for my druid is in my sig - Galladril.

Thanks, in advance, for any responses.

You can check out EQRankings.com to get a good idea of what average druids are out there.

I don't play a druid but I think 4800 mana for a non raiding druid is probably close to the average.

DON gear from the merchants is about on par with elemental. I'm not sure how much DoD you would do but those are some nice pieces.

Ah, well, my 65 non raiding (well, not eligible for raid drops anyway, lol) Druid bot with mostly castoff gear has 4400 mana and mana regen of 7, 6 from gear. If you can acquire the pp, you can do better with just bazaar gear. There's also groupable stuff out there, especially in OOW, that will give you a boost, especially if you get the faction and do some of the gear quests.

I am not really sure how it compares but as 7k hp ranger, I have about 5300 mana, and just Ft4. I am mostly DoN Augged / with a couple of drops from WoS (Velitkorin hammer etc, nothing really great.

You probably know this but there is a 45 mana / end aug from the orc monster mission in nektulos.

Also DoN augs are pretty obtainable as well DoN Cultural Smithed crap, (with the gm aug.) I still use my claviger bp.

My 68 Necro is at 5800mana 14ft in bazzar gear with a few DoN FT augs so I would put your current gear as below average for a level 70.

The upside is you have allot of easy upgrades available it wont be hard to add 50mana here and 50mana and some FT items as you level up.

Once you get to around level 65 your ability to make money will increase dramticly and many 10k to 20k items will become afordable.

Not sure this answers your question but...

I say that non raiders can "easily" expect to get items with 100hp/100mana on them with no augs. OOW Tier 1 armor is in this range and is 1 groupable with gear that is less than the rewards. DoN has been a huge boon for non raiders.

The DoD Spell missions drop many items that are over 200HP/200mana and so are teh MPG Single group Trials. Not easy and not feasible for folks that are not een up to the 100/100 point yet. But something to look forward to.

I am a non-raiding 65 Druid and my mana pool is 5300 with about +9 in mana regen stuff. I was able to but some good gear cause an old friend left the game permanently and left me 350,000pp. That helped a lot !! I very rarely go even near to OOM now.

I think that you mana is right on the money for your level, but its not hard to bump it upward in the Baz. Do you have access to good regular groups that go to the higher end areas to hunt?

Your mana is a little low for your level imo. I think farming DoNs will help a lot to improve your gear.

Thanks for all the responses, everyone. You have given me a place to start moving to - DoN's, specifically. Some of the augs you can get are unreal.

I bet a non-raiding druid could attain 10k hp with DoD + DoN + OoW.
Just check out the onegroupable stuff available:
The Skull of Den Lord Rakban
You can get augs that are 50+ mana for all slots I think.. Unrest mission, RSS aug x 4, dod mission augs, DoN merchant bought augs etc etc.
4800 mana sounds low for a lvl 70 druid but I doubt you will stay at that mana for long.. When you get lvl 70 you will have easier getting group which leads to more AAs and better gear pretty fast.
Dont get me wrong.. Getting all thoose augs and dod gear is far from easy!
Good luck!

This is kind of a silly question. It doesn't matter what your mana is as long as your getting the job done. There could be someone with 10k mana pool that doesn't know how to manage mana that runs OOM faster than someone who can manage mana better with a 6k pool.

As long as your doing your job and not going OOM or overnuking to get agro or whatever, then however much mana you have is fine.

To me, total mana is secondary to mana regen. Having the max mana regen plus all the spells/songs to regen mana is more important to either raiding or non raiding druid. I would try to max out the mana regen using AAs then equipment. If you are already level 70, you are focusing on AAs anyways. Try to max out the AAs. Mana regen equipment are available more and more now days. Many of the attuneable items often have mana regen +2 or +3 on them from OoW to DoDh.
