According to EQcasters realm there is a patch tommmorrow. It also says that they are upgrading the hp, mana and end for about 1000 DOD drops increasing the amounts by 40% see link here with some of the itme changes.

It's also probably to close the Halloween quest. They really need to get those pharmers out of Unrest and back to doing DoNs so that crystal prices will go back down.
