this site used to be really great. i'm a premium member and like to do quest searches...etc. lately thou it seems that the eq allakhazam site has been really slow loading. i run a fast internet connection and i still have to reload a page about 4 times before i actually get what i'm looking for. i know that this problem isn't my own, as many people have experienced the same problem.

what is the problem. are the servers bogged down? imo something needs to be done or it's not worth the premium access to many that use this site.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I would disagree with you. This site gets a lot more traffic than it used to, and even with server upgrades it's bound to bog down a bit, especially on days when a couple different games have down time on the same day.

Yes, some times it's a little slow. But I can live with that given all the great information that I have access to.

It's a great site and I am more than happy with it how it is. I havn't had any of the problems everyone else talks except on the few days when FFXI WoW and EQ are running major updates at the same time.

The only way alla's could reduce the problem is to upgrade the servers and increase bandwidth which means more money from the customers.

So look at it like this, pay more or deal with the minor lag.

It's a double edged sword. Either way you look at it people are going to be unhappy.



At the same time alot of people don't have this problem unless alot of games are down. Which goes to show that the problem is not 100% on alla's end.

For people who are having these problems I suggest seriously cleaning your PC. Their are alot of things out there that the standard spy/adware/virus scanners won't fix. Like your registry for one. One of the fastest ways to clog up your registry is by deleating programs instead of uninstalling them. Also be sure to defrag your HDs every once in awhile. Scandisk is a helpful tool as well.
