Druid epic - Trying to start again / having problemsFollow

When I quit EQ a year ago I had done about half of the Druid Epic quest. I had the stone from Venthril and I had the Jade Reaver and everything before that. When I got my character back last month it was completely bare.

I have re-equipped myself BUT...I went to start the epic quest again and the first guy in Burning Woods shows me as an Allied, and smiles warmly but he won't give me the note for the gal in Faydark.

I am assuming the guy in BW won't give me the note is because I have already received it from him a year ago.

Has anybody else encountered this problem ? Any suggestions ?
