You no longer get xp from killing coral and plants in Stoneroot (maybe all DoD). They also removed the high regen from coral. Even though your xp bar wouldn't move it WOULD level up evolvers. I finished up last 3 levels of Blade of the Night Sky on them. 1% per every 4 plants, this was quicker than swarm kiting.
