well seeing as how you linked the mobs that drop Aviak Talon I would assume that you actually looked at the links you posted.......If you did this then you already know which mobs to hunt so why ask?????

But if you must AK has the following mobs listed for droping the talon

Butcherblock Mountains
A Krag Elder

Steamfont
A Krag Elder
A Krag Warrior

No if you took the time to look at the quest and research the mobs on AK then you would know where to hunt for them.......but you probably know this already(no noob would go to this effort to troll....... >_>)

It should be obvious that I took a lot of time to reasearch this before posting. But as far as the mobs, the Krag Warriors don't have any information as to where in the zone they can be found, and everyone says the elders are extremely rare. I have never been to Steamfront, so I have no idea where in the zone to start looking for these guys.

And no, I am not trolling. I don't consider myself a newb either. I am not sure why you are on my case so hard. To me, my questions are legitimate. I even took the time to link every piece of info I have dug up in case someone needed to look at it.

I did this a LONG time ago. Honestly, I do not remember the drop rate being ridiculously low.

You MUST loot the talons from mobs in Ocean of Tears.

Well, I went back to Ocean of Tears. I wanted to get a Collector's Shark Tooth while I was there as well, but after killing at least 200 hundred sharks (not an exaggeration), and not seeing one, I decided it wasn't worth it. Maybe one day when I have more time, I will try again.

Anyway, after the sharks, I headed back to Aviak Isle. I began moving around the island, killing Aviaks as I saw them. I had an Aviak Tanager charmed. I came upon a camp of aviaks, with a little fire and a dwarf standing there. I sent in the tanager to kill one of the Aviak Starlings while I root rotted another. The one the tanager was on broke root and ran away with the charmed tanager on his heels. I thought to myself "That is the one that is going to have the talon because I will never find his stupid corpse".

I let the tanager chase him while I finished off the Aviak Starling I was working on. Then I began killing the last one in the camp of three. The tanager came back and we made short work of the last starling.

Now, time to loot. With fingers crossed, I right clicked, and what do you know? A talon! YAY!!! I went ahead and looted the other one because I hate seeing anything go to waste, and what do you know? Another freaking talon. WTF? I kill 20+ aviaks one day and no talon. I kill 6-8 the next day, and get 2 talons, back to back.

I am going to submit my findings to Alla right after I click on "Post Message".

EDIT: OMG! When I click on the "Submit Information" link, my computer freaks out and starts opening new internet explorer windows. I imagine if I let it keep going, it would eventually use up all the memory and crash, but I went ahead and shut it off after it opened a couple hundred windows. hehe. I forgot this computer does that when you click on a mailto link. Something to do with the way Outlook is installed.

Anyway, I guess I will use my yahoo account...

DOH! And no, I wasn't joking. I saw the mention of the scavenger hunt, but nothing on the page indicated that it was only for the scavenger hunt. I thought it was just a normal item that happened to be used in the scavenger hunt. Oh, well, thanks. I feel like an idiot now.

Hey, at least I got about 15 stacks of shark skin out of it!

I did a search for High-Elf Enchanter piercing weapons, and it seemed easliy attainable for my lvl 26 enchanter. Plus, I was all ready there killing sharks for the DoN armor quest, so it just seemed to fit. It beats the sharpend dagger I am using now.

Yeah, there were other weapons in that search I could have probably went for, and now I guess I will search again. I don't want to get my gear from the bazaar this time like I did last time. I want to earn everything my character wears. Just fot the sense of accomplishment.

P.S. I finally made all of my Journeyman DoN armor. WOOT! Now all I have to do is find enough jade shards (not gonna happen) to make the symbols.
